Ralph Fiennes is sharing his thoughts on playing President Snow in the upcoming film The Hunger Games: Sunrise on the Reaping.
The role of president snow was previously played by the late Donald Sutherland who passed away in 2024. The role was re-cast for the upcoming prequel film and Ralph, 62, will be playing the role.
Even though he’s taking over the character, Ralph says that he knows he can’t totally fill the shoes of the original actor.

Murder in a Small Town is a new Canadian mystery series that is airing on Fox in the U.S.
Rossif Sutherland stars in the new show as detective Karl Alberg alongside Kristin Kreuk as Cassandra Mitchell, a librarian who becomes his love interest.
The series is based on the novels by L.R. Wright and Rossif‘s famous father, the late Donald Sutherland, actually tried to make the books into a movie many years ago.

Nicole Kidman is mourning the death of her former co-star Donald Sutherland.
The Hunger Games, Klute, and MASH actor died on Thursday, June 20, at the age of 88 after a long illness. Thursday also happened to be Nicole‘s 57th birthday.
If you didn’t know, Nicole and Donald shared the screen in two projects – first in the 2003 movie Cold Mountain then again in 2021 in the HBO limited series The Undoing.
Following Donald‘s passing, Nicole took to her Instagram Story to pen a sweet tribute.

Kiefer Sutherland is breaking his silence on his dad Donald Sutherland‘s death.
On Thursday (June 20), it was announced that the Emmy-winning actor, best known for his roles in MASH, the Hunger Games movie franchise, and Klute, had passed away at the age of 88 after battling a “long illness.”
Shortly after news of Donald‘s death broke, Kiefer, 57, took to social media to pen a touching tribute to his dad.

Donald Sutherland has sadly passed away at the age of 88.
He passed away after an illness on Thursday (June 20) in Miami, Fla.
His career spanned decades and included so many fan favorite TV shows and movies. Perhaps one of his more famous roles later in his career was that of President Coriolanus Snow in the four original Hunger Games films. He was also known for works including The Dirty Dozen, MASH, Klute, Animal House, Ordinary People, Pride & Prejudice and more. He previously won an Emmy Award for his work in Citizen X.
Not much is known about his cause of death at this time, but Deadline is saying he battled a “long illness.”
He had five children, including actor Kiefer Sutherland. He is survived by his wife Francine Racette.
Kiefer said in a statement, “With a heavy heart, I tell you that my father, Donald Sutherland, has passed away. I personally think one of the most important actors in the history of film. Never daunted by a role, good, bad or ugly. He loved what he did and did what he loved, and one can never ask for more than that. A life well lived.”

Netflix just released the first look at their upcoming new movie Mr. Harrigan’s Phone.
Based on a short story by Stephen King, it was directed and written by John Lee Hancock and produced by Ryan Murphy, Jason Blum and Carla Hacken.
Here’s a synopsis: When Craig, a young boy living in a small town (Jaeden Martell) befriends Mr. Harrigan, an older, reclusive billionaire (Donald Sutherland), the two begin to form an unlikely bond over their love of books and reading. But when Mr. Harrigan sadly passes away, Craig discovers that not everything is dead and gone and strangely finds himself able to communicate with his friend from the grave through the iPhone in this supernatural coming-of-age story that shows that certain connections are never lost.
Mr. Harrigan’s Phone premieres October 5 on Netflix.
