HBO Max‘s Sex and the City sequel series was just announced to be coming to an end after the current third season wraps up on the streamer, according to Deadline.

The series will air a two-part finale, wrapping the 12-episode season. Showrunner Michael Patrick King reportedly informed the cast on Thursday (July 31), and has now released a statement to the press.

Carrie, Miranda, and Charlotte are back in the trailer for And Just Like That season three!

Sarah Jessica Parker and her co-stars, Cynthia Nixon, Kristin Davis, along with Sarita Choudhury and Nicole Ari Parker, lead the new season – and it looks to have lots of twists and turns, based on the trailer. While the logline doesn’t reveal much, apart from they are “navigating the complicated reality of life, love, sex, and friendship in their 50s in New York City,” the trailer gives away some details.

It looks like Carrie is plugging along trying to make things work long distance with Aidan (John Corbett), while also having some chemistry with her new neighbor.

Charlotte’s daughter Lily is seen making out with a new man – a hot ballet dancer.

Miranda and Seema look so be working the single scene in NYC, while Lisa Todd Wexley has a little work crush on a hottie (played by Mehcad Brooks).

And so much more!

The new season hits HBO’s streamer Max on May 29. Meanwhile, three stars are exiting the series.

Aidan and Carrie are back together on And Just Like That!

John Corbett and Sarah Jessica Parker, who portray the star-crossed lovers who reunited in season 2 but had a rocky end when Aidan left to support his sons full time, were seen holding hands while filming a scene for the HBO series on Monday (July 22) in New York City.

Also seen on set were Cynthia Nixon‘s Miranda, Kristin Davis‘ Charlotte with Evan Handler‘s Harry, Mario Cantone‘s Anthony with Sebastiano Pigazzi‘s Giuseppe, Sarita Choudhury‘s Seema, and others. With everyone dressed all in black, it appeared to fans like this could be a funeral scene.

Kristin Davis is spending the day on set.

The 59-year-old actress filmed scenes for season 3 of And Just Like That with her on-screen husband Evan Handler on Monday afternoon (July 15) in New York City.

For their time on set, Kristin wore a denim dress while Evan, 63, wore a light blue suit.

Earlier that day, Kristin was seen wearing the same dress as she filmed scenes with Julie Halston, who has played socialite Bitsy von Muffling on And Just Like That and the original series, Sex & the City.

Earlier this month, Sarah Jessica Parker was spotted filming a few scenes with a hunky new co-star.

It was previously announced that two stars will not be returning for season 3 of And Just Like That.
