Percy Jackson and the Olympians is already halfway through the season!

The Disney+ series adaptation of Rick Riordan‘s popular books debuted it’s second season earlier this month, and we had a chance to catch up with the show’s young stars to talk about the new episodes.

We spoke to stars Walker Scobell, Leah Sava Jeffries, Aryan Simhadri, Charlie Bushnell, Dior Goodjohn and Daniel Diemer, and got the scoop on what it was like preparing to film this season’s action sequences, their favorite memories from filming, the biggest challenges they faced this time around and what they are most looking forward to fans seeing!

Hunter King is back on Hallmark Channel this weekend for her new original movie, A Make or Break Holiday, and we sat down with her to learn more about the film, her holiday plans, and real-life wedding plans with fiance Chris Copier.

The 32-year-old actress starred in last year’s top Hallmark movie of the year, Holiday Touchdown: A Chiefs Love Story, and now she’s teaming up with Evan Roderick for her latest film.

In A Make or Break Holiday, a couple is hosting both families for their first Christmas together, but mounting stress and unresolved tensions lead them to quietly decide on a break. Determined not to ruin the holiday, they pretend to be a happy couple while navigating family chaos under one roof. In the process, they begin to rediscover what they love about each other and may not have to pretend much longer.

Catch A Make or Break Holiday on Hallmark Channel on Saturday (December 20) at 8/7c and streaming on Hallmark+ the next day.

Just Jared got the chance to catch up with fan fave actor Benjamin Hollingsworth and learn a little more about him!

You likely recognize him from his role in Netflix’s smash-hit series Virgin River. He’s also the stars of the new holiday film, Karen Kingsbury’s The Christmas Ring!

Here’s the logline for the film: A military widow falls in love while searching for her lost family Christmas Ring, an heirloom that has been in the family since D-Day.

1. I accidentally-on-purpose hustled my way into my first acting job: They were hiring locals as extras for a big movie filming near the small town I grew up in. When I arrived, there was a massive line wrapped around the local hockey rink to audition. I was never gonna get in, so I went back to my car, drove to my high school, and raided the drama department’s wardrobe closet. When I went back, I walked straight past everyone and onto set. Instead of kicking me out, someone asked why I was late and told me to sign in. I’ve basically been yes-anding that mistake ever since.
2. In real life, I’m more “dad taxi” than bad boy: I know I play the brooding guy with a mysterious past, but most of my days are spent making breakfast, negotiating screen time, and trying to remember which kid has which practice. Not quite as sexy as a bar brawl, but the stakes feel higher.
3. “Optimistic Time Traveler” on BTS (Ben Standard Time): I’m chronically late because I live with a wildly optimistic sense of time. I’ll tell myself, “It’s only a 10-minute drive,” fully ignoring the laws of physics, traffic, and the fact that I still need to find my keys. I operate on “Ben Standard Time,” which is roughly 7–12 minutes behind whatever the real world is doing. I don’t mean to be late—I truly believe I’m on time right up until the moment I’m not.
4. I have large hands and give surprisingly great massages: Somewhere along the way, I became the unofficial on-call massage therapist for my wife. My hands are large and strong and are an essential part of our marriage. When I’m in the doghouse, I just put the massage oil on the nightstand.
5. Not a secret that I love hockey – what is a secret is that I take it way too seriously for a grown man: If you put me on the ice, I instantly turn into a 12-year-old chasing the Stanley Cup. I’m pretty decent, but if you saw the way I play in a pick-up game, you’d think I was still auditioning for the NHL. I had the opportunity to play with some Hockey Hall of Fame’ers for an LA Kings charity game. I picked a fight with P.K. Subban—my wife was not as excited as my kids were. 🫣

HBO’s smash-hit series It: Welcome to Derry is wrapping up with its finale episode tonight (December 14), and Just Jared got to chat with one of the show’s breakout stars: Arian S. Cartaya!

The young actor portrays the role of Rich, one of the kids in the friend group as Pennywise the Clown targets the youth of the town.

Arian got the attention of the passionate Welcome to Derry fanbase with his really sincere acting choices, his character’s devotion to Marge, and his extremely memorable episode 7 ending.

Now that he’s gained a lot of new fans, we got to know him a bit better!

5. If I wasn’t an actor I would probably pursue a career as a baseball player. I play short stop and my favorite team is The Boston Red Sox!

The cast of Percy Jackson and the Olympians bring season two to London!

Walker Scobell, Leah Sava Jeffries and Aryan Simhadri pose together at the series’ premiere event held at Picturehouse Central on Wednesday (December 10) in London.

They were also joined by co-stars Charlie Bushnell, Dior Goodjohn, Daniel Diemer, Tamara Smart and Toby Stephens, as well as author Rick Riordan and wife Becky, who serve as executive producers.

Just Jared recently caught up with the cast to chat about the second season, which just debuted the first two episodes on Disney+ and Hulu, and we found out what the most challenging part of filming was.
