Young Sheldon star Iain Armitage is returning to TV, but not in the Big Bang Theory universe!
The 17-year-old actor will actually be guest starring in an April 2026 episode of the hit series Ghosts. According to Variety, he’ll portray a “heightened version of himself, taking part in a high-stakes poker game at the mansion.”
The site reports that filming starts today and the episode will officially air on April 16, 2026.
Rose McIver and Utkarsh Ambudkar star as Sam and Jay Arondekar in the series, a cheerful freelance journalist and chef from the city, respectively, who threw both caution and money to the wind when they decided to convert Woodstone Mansion, which Sam inherited, into a bed & breakfast – only to find it was inhabited by the many spirits of deceased residents who now call it home.
If you weren’t aware, there’s a Big Bang Theory spinoff show in the works right now and 6 stars are returning for it!

Ghosts is back!
Season 5 of the hit CBS comedy returned on October 16, and new episodes are rolling out on Thursdays at 8:30 p.m. ET.
New episodes will be available to stream live and on demand for Paramount+ Premium subscribers. For Paramount+ Essential subscribers, Season 5 episodes are available to stream on Paramount+ one day after they air.
