Brooke Shields is returning to When Calls the Heart on the Hallmark Channel!

She will apparently return for three episodes in the upcoming 13th season of the show to play Jack’s mother, Charlotte Thornton. She previously played the role in two episodes back in 2016′s season three.

Luke Macfarlane is opening up about his range as an actor, and sharing the details of his next big project.

The 44-year-old actor, who came out as gay in 2008 while starring on Brothers & Sisters, has largely taken on queer roles in his career.

Now, in the new Apple TV+ comedy Platonic, he takes on a straight role while playing Rose Byrne’s character’s husband.

The show follows best friends Sylvia (Byrne) and Will (Seth Rogen) as they navigate life and friendship.

“Quite simply, like most actors, gay actors, straight actors, we just need someone to say, ‘I’m gonna give you a shot,’” Luke said at the show’s Los Angeles premiere, via Variety.

Hallmark Channel‘s Christmas In July programming is officially kicking off this week!

The network is airing several past Christmas movies, as well as debuting two brand new series and four brand new movie movies.

Throughout the month, the new movies and series will have their network debut on Saturdays and Sundays, but are also currently streaming on Hallmark+!

Mistletoe Murders is getting a second season at Hallmark+!

The series follows Christmas shop owner Emily Lane (Sarah Drew), as well as detective Sam Wilner (Peter Mooney).

“We had searched for the right series to blend Christmas with mysteries — two genres our viewers love — and Mistletoe Murders cracked that case to perfection. The enthusiastic audience reaction made the decision to renew the series an easy one,” Samantha DiPippo, Senior Vice President, Programming, Hallmark Media, told Deadline. “After the jaw-dropping season finale that left fans asking, Who is Emily Lane?, we look forward to another riveting holiday in Fletcher’s Grove filled with mystery, romance and of course, Christmas.”

It’s expected that season 2 would have a 2025 holiday premiere date, and will film later this year.

This is the fourth TV show renewal from Hallmark recently!
