Michael B Jordan and Tessa Thompson pose for photos together on the red carpet at the Critics Choice Association’s 2025 Celebration of Black Cinema & Television held at Fairmont Century Plaza on Tuesday (December 9) in Los Angeles.

The Creed co-stars both took to the stage during the ceremony, where the 38-year-old actor presented the actress with the Actress Award – Film, as well as presenting their director Ryan Coogler with the Director Award.

Sandra Oh and Steven Yeun meet up at the season three premiere of their show Invincible held at The Culver Theater on Monday (February 3) in Culver City, Calif.

The 53-year-old actress and the 41-year-old actor lead the voice cast of the animated series, which is based on the comic book series by Robert Kirkman, Cory Walker, and Ryan Ottley.

Also stepping out were their co-stars Gillian Jacobs, Jason Mantzoukas, Khary Payton and Jay Pharoah.

The series “follows 19-year-old Mark Grayson (Yeun), as he inherits his father’s superpowers and sets out to become Earth’s greatest defender, only to discover the job is more challenging than he could have ever imagined. Everything changes as Mark is forced to face his past, and his future, while discovering how much further he’ll need to go to protect the people he loves.”

Invincible season three is set to premiere THIS Thursday (February 6) with the first three episodes on Prime Video. New episodes will then drop weekly through March 13th. Check out the trailer here!

Blake Shelton is being honored!

The 47-year-old country music singer had the support of wife Gwen Stefani as they arrived at the Keep Memory Alive’s 2024 Power of Love Gala on Friday night (May 10) in Las Vegas, Nevada.

Blake was honored at the event for helping raise awareness and funds for the Cleveland Clinic Lou Ruvo Center for Brain Health, which in part funds and facilitates research into brain disorders including Alzheimer’s and Parkinson’s.

Good Times is back in a new way.

The animated Netflix reboot of the ’70s sitcom, which featured TV’s first Black two-parent family, promises to “drop the laugh track and deal with modern-day issues, retaining the feeling of the original Good Times,” per the network.

“It’s about a Black family that comes together, laughs together, and survives the system on the South Side of Chicago. What you’ll get from that is a lot of social commentary, a lot of pushing the boundaries, a lot of feel-good television, but also a lot of things that may be in the vein of The Simpsons and South Park and Family Guy. When you’re looking back 10 years later, you’ll be like, ‘They said that on Good Times?’ Oh my gosh,’” says showrunner Ranada Shepard.

The animated series premieres Friday (April 12), and features a lot of big names in the voice cast.

Broadway stars and Tony-nominated actors Phillipa Soo and Jeremy Jordan both have new movies coming out soon!

Phillipa was joined by her co-star Luke Bracey at the premiere of their new film One True Loves on Monday night (March 27) at the Whitby Hotel Theater in New York City.

That same evening, Jeremy stepped out with co-star Jay Pharoah at the screening of their movie Spinning Gold at the Roxy Cinema in New York.

Here’s the synopsis of One True Loves: “Emma and Jesse are living the perfect life together, until Jesse disappears in a tragic helicopter crash on their first wedding anniversary. Four years later, Emma has found happiness again and is about to marry her best friend when Jesse resurfaces, turning her world upside down and leaving her torn between two great loves.”

Spinning Gold tells the story of music executive Neil Bogart, founder of Casablanca Records, who would rewrite history and change the music industry forever. Over the course of one tumultuous decade from 1966 to 1977, determined to make a name for himself but millions of dollars in debt, Neil turns his love of gambling into a superpower when he takes on artists that the world isn’t ready for, and risks everything to carve out a place for them in the music world.

One True Loves will be released in theaters on April 7 and on digital on April 14. Spinning Gold hits theaters on March 31.

Jay Pharoah shared his secret after losing 20 pounds in three weeks time.

The 35-year-old comedian and Saturday Night Live alum hopped on social media on Saturday evening (January 21) to say that he got rid of his “holiday weight” and did so intentionally.

“I’ve lost about 20 pounds in the last 3 weeks, totally intentional..I should teach a class. Holiday weight GYONNNNEEEEE.”

Jay won’t have to wait to teach a class. Instead, he answered a question about how he did it on Twitter.
