Cynthia Erivo is opening up about Elphaba’s viral “sex cardigan” in the movie Wicked: For Good.

During the “As Long As You’re Mine” scene, Elphaba brings Fiyero back to her home and they make love to each other. For the scene, she’s wearing a woolly cardigan and lingerie underneath.

“The idea was to shoot the song with all of her armor on, with the hat and the coat and the cape. And I thought a couple of things. One, why, if she was in a space that was her own, where she felt the most safe and comfortable, would she still be in her armor?” Cynthia told Deadline. “And two, when do we have an opportunity to see her green from head to toe? When do we get to be reminded that it’s not just makeup? I know that there have been conversations about her seducing and all of that, but honestly, that’s just not the case.”

Jon M. Chu responds to accusation that the Wicked movies didn’t use color grading.

An X account called “DiscussingFish,” which is a parody of the popular DiscussingFilm outlet, posted something where they attributed a fake quote to Jon where he allegedly said, “my fault,” in response to a fake report that he “forgot” to color grade.

The stars were out to close the weekend at the 2025 Governors Awards!

This year’s event took place on Sunday (November 15) at the Ray Dolby Ballroom in Los Angeles.

The Governors Awards celebrate a series of “awards conferred by the Academy’s Board of Governors – the Irving G. Thalberg Memorial Award, the Jean Hersholt Humanitarian Award and the Honorary Award.”

The Wicked: For Good premiere in Singapore is always going to be known as the place where Cynthia Erivo showed off her superhero skills when she helped save Ariana Grande from a red carpet crasher.

The 38-year-old actress, who plays Elphaba in the movie, helped protect Ariana, 32, from a man who jumped over the barricade and rushed at her while walking the carpet on Thursday (November 13)) at Universal Studios Singapore in Sentosa, Singapore.

Before security even had a chance to step in, Cynthia rushed to Ariana‘s side to push the man away from her.

The man was later identified on social media and it wasn’t the first time he’s done this to a celebrity.

The stars of the new Wicked movie are taking over the UK!

Cynthia Erivo and Ariana Grande held hands as they posed for photos together at the European premiere of Wicked: For Good on Monday (November 10) held at Cineworld London Leicester Square in London, England.

For the big event, Cynthia, 38, rocked navy and black leather gown while Ariana, 32, ditched Glinda’s signature pink and wore a black sparkling ballgown.

Fellow cast members in attendance included Jonathan Bailey, Michelle Yeoh with husband Jean Todt, Ethan Slater, Jeff Goldblum with wife Emilie Livingston, and Marissa Bode along with director Jon M. Chu and his wife Kristin Hodge.

A few days earlier, Ariana and Cynthia both looked gorgeous as they promoted the movie in Paris.
