The new King of the Hill revival is shaking things up for its characters.
The upcoming 14th season of the beloved animated sitcom has made some major changes in the trajectory of the Hill family, according to an interview that the cast gave at the ATX TV Festival last week in Austin, Tex.
Firstly, Hank and Peggy moved to Saudi Arabia for his job, but made a return to the fictional town of Arlen, Tex.
“We liked the idea of him living on the base at the Aramco base, and that it was like this completely idealized American picket fence existence for the last few years. And then to come back and just see what state we’re in,” creator and Hank’s voice actor Mike Judge explained, per Variety.
Meanwhile, Bobby is now all grown up, and works as a chef.

King of the Hill is coming back after 15 years and Hulu just announced a release date for the revival!
The 14th season of the beloved animated series, which originally aired on Fox, will premiere on August 4. All 10 episodes will be available at once.
Here is the official synopsis of the new season: “After years working a propane job in Saudi Arabia to earn their retirement nest egg, Hank and Peggy Hill return to a changed Arlen, Texas to reconnect with old friends Dale, Boomhauer and Bill. Meanwhile, Bobby is living his dream as a chef in Dallas and enjoying his 20s with his former classmates Connie, Joseph and Chane.”
So, who is returning for the new season?
One beloved actor sadly passed away in the middle of production on season 14 and will be replaced mid-season by another returning actor.

Natasha Lyonne and Rian Johnson step out for the season two premiere of their show Poker Face held at Hollywood Legion Theater on Thursday (May 1) in Los Angeles.
The star and the creator of the mystery series posed in front of the Plymouth Barracuda that Natasha made her grand entrance in. If you watch the show, you’ll recognize the car as the one her character Charlie Cale drives!

Season two of the mystery-of-the-week series continues to follow Charlie, who has an extraordinary ability to determine when someone is lying. She hits the road with her Plymouth Barracuda and with every stop encounters a new cast of characters and strange crimes she can’t help but solve.

Hank’s friends – conspiracy theorist Dale, military barber Bill and cool but inarticulate Boomhauer, along with Peggy’s friends Minh and meteorologist Nancy, and Bobby’s friend Connie help the Hills navigate a changing world.
