Cate Blanchett was among the many celebrities who met with Pope Leo XIV during the Papal Audience with the Film Industry over the weekend.
The Pope hosted a meeting with dozens of actors, actresses, filmmakers, and screenwriters on Saturday morning (November 15) at the Clementine Hall in Vatican City, Vatican.
Pope Leo noted during the meeting that cinema represents “a popular art in the noblest sense, intended for and accessible to all.” The Vatican said Pope Leo aimed to “deepen dialogue with the World of Cinema, and in particular with actors and directors” to explore “the possibilities that artistic creativity offers to the mission of the Church and the promotion of human values.”
Also in attendance at the meeting were Greta Gerwig, Viggo Mortensen, Spike Lee, Judd Apatow and Leslie Mann, Monica Bellucci, Dave Franco and Alison Brie, Adam Scott, Chris Pine, Darren Aronofsky, Nicolas Winding Refn, Alba Rohrwacher, Gus Van Sant, and Giulio Base, among many others.

The Baby2Baby Gala “raises millions of dollars each year to make Baby2Baby’s work for children living in poverty possible.” Last year’s gala raised $17 million, which allows the organization “to reach over one million children this year whose families are forced to make impossible choices on a daily basis between buying diapers or feeding their children.”

This year’s gala honored tennis superstar Serena Williams with the Giving Tree Award, and featured Kerry Washington, Olivia Munn, Julie Bowen, Malin Akerman, Jessica Alba and Ciara as presenters, with the night closing out with a performance from Ludacris.

Max Mara celebrated Maude Apatow by gifting her this year’s Face of the Future Award and ahead of the awards ceremony, there was an exclusive gathering held at the Chateau Marmont on Wednesday (November 5) in Los Angeles.
Sarah Paulson, Kate Hudson, Naomi Watts, Kathy Hilton, and Maude‘s parents Leslie Mann and Judd Apatow were among the many stars in attendance.
This year marks 20 years of the award. Maria Giulia Prezioso Maramotti, granddaughter of the founder and Max Mara Fashion Group board member, hosted the celebration, which featured music from DJ Mia Moretti.

Maude Apatow is enjoying a day out with her famous parents Leslie Mann and Judd Apatow!
The 27-year-old Euphoria actress stepped out to do some shopping with the 53-year-old Knocked Up actress and the 57-year-old Trainwreck director on Tuesday afternoon (October 14) in New York City.
For their outing, Maude wore a trench coach with a black and white scarf, Leslie wore a brown leather coat and cream-colored sweater, and Judd sported a navy polo shirt and jeans.
Along with Maude, Leslie and Judd are also parents to 23-year-old actress Iris Apatow, who is currently busy filming The Hunger Games: Sunrise on the Reaping.
Last month, Leslie and Maude premiered their new movie Poetic License, which also marks Maude‘s directorial debut, at TIFF.
