The 37-year-old actress is set to star in and produce The Survival List, a new action romantic comedy being developed at Lionsgate with producer Marc Platt, who is best known for Wicked.
Written by Tom Melia, the movie follows “Annie, a highbrow reality TV producer who against her wishes, is assigned to a new show hosted by famous survival expert Chopper Lane. However, when a shipwreck strands them on a deserted island, Annie discovers Chopper is a fraud and knows nothing about survival, leaving her in charge of figuring out how to keep them alive. Forced to work together, they begin to discover an unlikely chemistry,” per THR.

Ben Platt is making rare comments about the Israel-Palestine conflict and sharing how he feels “alienated” by the Jewish community.
Ben‘s family has made headlines recently for being pro-Israel. If you didn’t know, his father Marc Platt is the producer of the new Snow White movie and reports claimed that he attempted to silence star Rachel Zegler from making pro-Palestine statements.
Ben‘s brother Jonah Platt, who hosts the “Being Jewish” podcast, slammed Rachel in social media comments.

Gerard Butler joins his co-star Nico Parker at 2025 CinemaCon held at The Colosseum at Caesars Palace on Wednesday (April 2) in Las Vegas.
The two were in attendance for a first screening of their upcoming live-action adaptation of How To Train Your Dragon, which is being released this summer.

Ariana DeBose denies that she is taking sides in the alleged feud between her West Side Story co-star Rachel Zegler and the Platt family.
Rachel starred in the movie Snow White, which was produced by Marc Platt. In addition to producing movies like Wicked, The Little Mermaid, Mary Poppins Returns, and Dear Evan Hansen, he has also made movies like Legally Blonde, Josie and the Pussycats, and La La Land.
Marc‘s son Jonah Platt took to Instagram last week and accused Rachel of hurting the film’s box office by making political statements.
“Narcissism is not something to be coddled or encouraged,” Jonah ended his statement, which has since been deleted.
Ariana shocked fans when she posted that exact quote to her Instagram Stories, though she has since deleted the post after becoming aware of its origin. She’s now speaking out to clarify what happened.

Jonah Platt is speaking out in defense of his father!
The 38-year-old actor, older brother to Ben Platt and son of producer Marc Platt, recently reacted to the latest news of his dad flying to New York to talk to Snow White star Rachel Zegler about her social media comment, “and always remember, free palestine.”
In a reported since deleted comment that is going viral on X/Twitter, Jonah defended his father, saying what he did is “called adult responsibility and accountability,” and blasted Rachel‘s actions, calling her a narcissist.

Rachel Zegler and Gal Gadot hit the red carpet at the LA premiere of their movie Snow White held at El Capitan Theater on Saturday (March 15) in Hollyweood.
The 23-year-old and the 39-year-old actresses star as Snow White and Evil Queen, respectively, and were both seen meeting young girls dressed as the titular character.
Also in attendance were their co-stars Martin Klebba (Grumpy), Jason Kravits (Sneezy), George Salazar (Happy), Andrew Grotelueschen (Sleepy), Emilia Faucher (Young Snow White), Lorena Andrea (Good Queen), Dujonna Gift (Maple) and Idris Kargbo (Bingley), as well as director Marc Webb, producer Marc Platt, songwriters Justin Paul and Benj Pasek, Disney stars Joshua Colley and Malachi Barton, Rachel Bloom, David Dastmalchian and Japanese boy band JO1.
The premiere also welcomed children from the San Fernando and Malibu chapters of Boys & Girls Club who were affected by recent fires in Los Angeles.
This past week, Martin criticized the studio for having a scaled back red carpet event.
A few days ago, Rachel was in Spain, where she attended the European premiere for the movie, and performed the new song, “Waiting on a Wish.” She also performed the song in Japan earlier this month.
