Carrie Preston is speaking out following that death in the latest episode of her CBS series Elsbeth.
The new episode “I Know What You Did Thirty-Three Summers Ago,” the 18th episode of season two, aired on Thursday night (April 24) and featured the death of a recurring character.
Carrie noted that the events of this episode will send Elsbeth into a dark place.
“It is our most dramatic episode of the whole series so far, and I think it is an important episode because of that,” she told Variety. “We are going to see how it is that she overcomes it, because it does knock her off her feet and it really sends her into a darker place that we haven’t seen before.”

Elsbeth is a smash hit!
The police drama, currently in Season 2, premiered back in February 2024 on CBS, and is a spinoff of The Good Wife, which aired from 2009 to 2016.
The show centers around Elsbeth Tascioni, an autistic and astute but unconventional attorney who, after her successful career in Chicago, utilizes her singular point of view to make unique observations and corner brilliant criminals alongside the NYPD.
The show’s cast includes some familiar faces reprising their roles from The Good Wife, as well as new stars as well.

In the episode that aired on Thursday (December 12), Elsbeth was serving on one of Crawford’s juries… and had no clue that he was actually a killer. This one of the only times that Elsbeth hasn’t solved a murder in an episode!

The actor will be joining the CBS series in a recurring role in Season 2, Variety reports.
The news was revealed during the Elsbeth panel at 2024 New York Comic-Con, moderated by series guest star Laura Benanti.

The final season of Evil is premiering TODAY (May 23) on Paramount+ and there are some exciting cast additions.
The fourth and final season of the series has been expanded from 10 to 14 episodes, which will debut weekly on the streaming service.
When it was announced that Evil will be ending after its fourth season, co-creators Robert and Michelle King decided not to find another home for the show. They’re viewing the four bonus episodes as a way to wrap up the show.
In the new season, Kristen, David and Ben continue to assess cases that involve wayward technology, possessed pigs, demonic oppression and infestation, a dance muse conjured by alleged witches and an evil relic. Throughout, Leland attempts to lure Kristen into raising a baby antichrist who was conceived with her ovum. David is recruited by the Vatican’s secret service to “remote view” a paranormal ability to see the unseen in order to detect evil. Ben is hit by an ion beam, causing him to see visions of a taunting jinn until he discovers an unusual solution to banish it. Finally, all three realize they only have a few weeks left to assess cases because the parish has decided to disband the team due to a lack of funds. This culminates in one last confrontation with Leland and the 60 families that make up Evil in the modern world.

The Prime Video series, which is based on the video game series of the same name, has now been renewed for a second season after just one week of being out.
The renewal comes over a week after there was a big hint that the show would be renewed rather quickly.
