HBO Debuts New 'House of the Dragon' Season 3 Photos Ahead of Summer 2026 Premiere

We still have a while until the third season of House of the Dragon arrives on HBO, but the network is sharing some new photos with fans!

The photos include new looks of James Norton as the new character Lord Ormund Hightower, Emma D’Arcy as Rhaenyra Targaryen, Olivia Cooke as Alicent Hightower, and Ewan Mitchell as Aemond Targaryen.

HBO has already confirmed that House of the Dragon‘s third season will debut in summer 2026 and a fourth season has already been ordered for 2028.

Set decades before the original show, the prequel series focuses on a bloody battle for the Iron Throne between the Greens and the Blacks.

Robin Wright is stepping out to promote her new Prime Video series!

The 59-year-old Golden Globe winner joined co-stars Olivia Cooke and Laurie Davidson at the gala screening of their new thriller series The Girlfriend on Tuesday (September 2) held at The National Gallery in London, England.

Fellow cast members in attendance included Waleed Zuaiter, Francesca Corney, Shalom Brune-Franklin, and Tanya Moodie.

'House of the Dragon' Season 3 Cast Changes: 7 New Actors Revealed, Plus 22 Stars Returning & 4 Seemingly Leave Show

The third season of House of the Dragon is currently in production and there have been several updates to the star-studded cast.

The Game of Thrones spinoff series is confirmed to return to HBO with an eight-episode third season, which is now filming in the UK. We know that 22 actors are confirmed to return and seven exciting new stars have already been announced.

One major star was killed off the show in season two, so she won’t be back. Three other series regulars were not included in the cast list, so they seemingly won’t be back for the next season.

House of the Dragon will be filming into fall 2025 and the show is expected to return to HBO sometime in 2026.

Olivia Cooke Dating 'House of the Dragon' Co-Star Ralph Davis, Spotted Kissing at Wimbledon!

Olivia Cooke is dating her House of the Dragon co-star Ralph Davis!

The 31-year-old actress was spotted kissing Ralph while sitting in the stands at Wimbledon on Wednesday (July 9) in London, England.

Olivia stars in the HBO series House of the Dragon as Queen Alicent Hightower while Ralph appeared in six episodes of the second season as Ser Leon Estermont, who briefly served as a member of King Aegon II Targaryen’s Kingsguard.

The new couple was in the Ralph Lauren suite alongside a bunch of other celebrities.

Ralph is good friends with The White Lotus actress Aimee Lou Wood and they recently collaborated on writing the new comedy series Film Club for BBC. They are also co-starring in the upcoming show!

Most of the Game of Thrones cast members have said they aren’t watching House of the Dragon and only two have confirmed that they’ve tuned in.

FYI: Olivia is wearing Ralph Lauren.

The stars of the House of the Dragon are hitting the black carpet!

Matt Smith, Emma D’Arcy, and Olivia Cooke stepped out for a For Your Consideration event for their Game of Thrones spinoff series on Thursday (March 6) held at the Saban Media Center in Los Angeles.

Fellow cast members in attendance included Fabien Frankel, Tom Glynn-Carney, Steve Toussaint, and Ewan Mitchell.

If you didn’t know, a third and fourth season of House of the Dragon have already been announced, with the show expected to conclude after that.

House of the Dragon has been renewed for a third season ahead of the season two premiere!

Season two, which debuts on Sunday (June 16) on HBO’s Max, stars Matt Smith, Emma D’Arcy, Olivia Cooke, Rhys Ifans, Steve Toussaint, Eve Best, Fabien Frankel, Matthew Needham, Sonoya Mizuno, Tom Glynn-Carney, Ewan Mitchell, Harry Collett, Bethany Antonia, Phoebe Campbell, Phia Saban and Jefferson Hall.
