'The Beatles' Movies Cast: 8 More Stars Join - Every Role Revealed!

The cast of the four-film The Beatles biopic series is expanding.

Director Sam Mendes, who is helming all four films and producing, revealed more casting for the forthcoming movies.

The films mark the first time Apple Corps Ltd. and The Beatles – John Lennon, Paul McCartney, George Harrison and Ringo Starr – have granted full life story and music rights for a scripted film.

Each film is told from each band member’s distinct point of view, and will “intersect to tell the astonishing story of the greatest band in history,” per Sony Pictures.

Sony Pictures will finance and distribute worldwide with full theatrical windows in April 2028.

We already know that Harris Dickinson (John Lennon), Paul Mescal (Paul McCartney), Barry Keoghan (Ringo Starr) and Joseph Quinn (George Harrison) will be starring as the band members, as well as who their love interests are being played by.

Paul Mescal and Jessie Buckley are hitting the red carpet at the 2025 BFI London Film Festival!

The Oscar-nominated co-stars posed for photos together as they arrived at the premiere of their new movie Hamnet on Saturday (October 11) held at The Royal Festival Hall in London, England.

Fellow cast members in attendance included Emily Watson, Bodhi Rae Breathnach, Noah Jupe, Jacobi Jupe, and Olivia Lynes along with director Chloe Zhao and producers Sam Mendes and Steven Spielberg with wife Kate Capshaw.

Also in attendance was Barry Keoghan, who will be starring alongside Paul in the upcoming movies about The Beatles.

Here’s the plot summary, via Variety: β€œHamnet tells the story of William Shakespeare and his wife, Agnes, as they grieve the loss of their 11-year-old son, Hamnet. The film follows the couple as they attempt to reconcile with the loss of their child, and how William Shakespeare began to write his beloved classic, Hamlet.”

Hamnet will have a limited release in theaters on November 27, and will then open to theaters nationwide on December 12. Watch the trailer here!

Saoirse Ronan has joined the cast of the upcoming The Beatles movies!

Sam Mendes is directing a “four-film cinematic event” that will feature one film from each Beatles member’s perspective, with the cast appearing in all of the movies.

Deadline reports that Saoirse will play Linda McCartney, the first wife of Paul McCartney, who will be played by Paul Mescal.

Harris Dickinson Celebrates Premiere of His Directorial Debut with Support From 'Beatles' Movie Family!

Harris Dickinson is making his feature film directorial debut with the new movie Urchin and he had support from some major stars at the London premiere!

The 29-year-old actor, who will play John Lennon in the upcoming Beatles biopics, was joined by future co-stars Barry Keoghan and Paul Mescal at the Urchin premiere on Monday (September 22) at Picturehouse Central in London, England.

Harris was also supported by Oscar-winning director Sam Mendes, who will direct all four of the upcoming Beatles biopics. Paul is playing Paul McCartney, Barry is playing Ringo Starr, and Joseph Quinn will play George Harrison.

Also stepping out for the premiere were Urchin lead actor Frank Dillane and Harris‘ longtime girlfriend Rose Gray. See their photos in the gallery!

Rose recently made rare public comments about her decade-long relationship with Harris.

Urchin, in theaters October 17, is about a young addict living on the streets of London who is given a shot at redemption, but his road to recovery soon curdles into a strange odyssey from which he may never escape.

Laura Donnelly Gets Rave Reviews for Her Return to Broadway in 'The Hills of California'

Laura Donnelly has teamed up with director Sam Mendes and playwright Jez Butterworth again, six years after their hit show The Ferryman became a smash hit on Broadway.

The actress, best known for starring in The Nevers and Werewolf By Night, is getting rave reviews for her performance in the new play, which celebrated its opening night performance on Sunday (September 29) in New York City.

Stepping out on the red carpet for the opening show were Sam and Jez, as well as M. Night Shyamalan with his family, Tony nominee Micaela Diamond, Daniel Dae Kim, and Clark Gregg.

A Man Called Otto actress Kelly Lamor Wilson was also there to support her Broadway debut as a producer. “Making my Broadway Debut with this show is a dream come true,” she wrote on Instagram Stories.

Time Out New York notes that the play is an “extraordinary showcase” for Laura and Entertainment Weekly says she gives “a commanding and versatile centerpiece performance.”

Earlier this year, it was revealed that director Sam Mendes is set to direct four separate movies about the Beatles with each focusing on a different member of the famed band.

Each movie is set to focus on the four members – Paul McCartney, John Lennon, Ringo Starr and George Harrison, while also intersecting with each other, to “tell the astonishing story of the greatest band in history,” leading to the 1970 breakup, Variety reported in February.
