There’s so much good television out there, but not everything is going the distance.

In fact, at least 10 shows that premiered in 2025 already got canceled by network execs only a few weeks or months later. Be it because of failed negotiations or simply low viewership and lack of critical acclaim, these shows sadly didn’t get a chance to take off beyond their debut season.

There is some news about three Netflix shows that have all been in limbo after airing their first seasons.

It was just reported that medical drama Pulse and murder mystery The Residence have been canceled while No Good Deed is on an indefinite pause.

Netflix just dropped the new Shondaland series The Residence and its bound to be a big hit for the streamer, so a second season already feels inevitable.

Uzo Aduba and Randall Park star in the murder mystery series set in the White House, but don’t expect a second season to be set there as well.

Here’s a quick synopsis: “132 rooms. 157 suspects. One dead body. One wildly eccentric detective. One disastrous State Dinner. The Residence is a screwball whodunnit set in the upstairs, downstairs, and backstairs of the White House, among the eclectic staff of the world’s most famous mansion.”

We know that The Residence is not intended as a limited series because Netflix will be submitting the show in the Comedy Series category at the Emmys.

Uzo Aduba is stepping out for the world premiere of her new Netflix series!

The 44-year-old two-time Emmy winner hit the blue carpet at the premiere of The Residence on Wednesday evening (March 19) held at The Egyptian Theatre Hollywood in Los Angeles.

Fellow cast members in attendance included Randall Park, Ken Marino, Susan Kelechi Watson, Jason Lee, Giancarlo Esposito, Bronson Pinchot, Spencer Garrett, Dan Perrault, Al Mitchell, Edwina Findley, Chris Grace, Matt Oberg, Mary Wiseman, Alexandra Siegel, Barrett Foa, Al Franken, Rebecca Field, Mel Rodriguez, Julieth Restrepo, Nathan Lovejoy, Sumalee Montano, Juliette Jeffers, Paul Fitzgerald, Izzy Diaz, Eliza Coupe, and James Babson.

The Residence is “a screwball whodunnit set in the upstairs, downstairs, and backstairs of the White House, among the eclectic staff of the world’s most famous mansion.”

The series, which is executive produced by Shonda Rhimes and inspired by the book The Residence: Inside the Private World of the White House by Kate Andersen Brower, will be available for streaming on Netflix on March 20.

The Residence is coming!

Netflix and Shondaland debuted the teaser and new images for their highly anticipated upcoming TV series The Residence on Thursday (January 30).

The series hits the streamer on March 20.

Kylie Minogue is heading to Netflix.

The 54-year-old “Can’t Get You Out Of My Head” pop icon officially signed on to star in Shonda Rhimes‘ murder mystery drama The Residence.

She was announced alongside a slew of other stars, who are joining an already jam-packed cast.
