The Netflix series The Sandman is coming to an end this month after two seasons, but the show isn’t ending because of those allegations against Neil Gaiman, as some may think.
Gaiman, who wrote the comic book source material, was accused of sexual assault by multiple women in a New York Magazine cover story that was released in January 2025.
Netflix confirmed The Sandman‘s cancellation news just days later, which led fans to believe the allegations were connected to the decision, but the two-season run had been in the works for a long time.
David S. Goyer, who co-created the show, confirmed this in a recent interview.
