New Inspiration Station Challenge

 

We're back today with a new challenge on the Inspiration Station Challenge Blog:

The idea behind the challenge is that we give you a photo each month and you make something inspired by the image and tell us how you were inspired.

To make my card I used the 'Hop into Spring' collection from Sharon Callis available here on The Crafty Witches website,

I also used a die from Stampin' Up, glitter tape from The Works and pink gems from my stash.

I used some paper from Little Claire Designs (no longer trading) which has a poppy design.

I die cut the card and the layers using the arch dies from Stampin' Up and added a sentiment label from Funky Fossil Designs.

I looked at the photo and saw a harvest/autumn image - I chose a main image for my card which I thought reflected this.

I was inspired by the leaves and the colours in the photo as well as the autumnal feel to the photo.

To make my card I used an open leaf stencil from Funky Fossil and applied Stampin Up Crumb Cake ink through it.  Keeping the stencil in place I used a Stampin' Up autumn stencil with Distress Inks in Spiced Marmalade and Barn Door and Stampin' Up inks in Daffodil Delight, Soft Suede and Mossy Meadow.

I used a stamped sentiment from Stampin' Up and then matted the stencilled panel on to dark brown paper.

From the photo I took the palm tree and the idea of peace and relaxation so 'life is better at the beach'!

I took the rainbow colour scheme from the photo and reflected this in the backing paper and the rainbows in the stamped image.
