There's a new challenge today on the Mix It Up Challenge Blog and this month it's anything goes with the optional theme of monochrome.

Have a look here on the challenge blog for all the details and to see the cards from the rest of the team.

To make my card I used a panel cut from the background that I also used to make my recent card for The Male Room Challenge!

I used the Love of Leaves stamp set from Stampin' Up adding a stamped sentiment and some washi tape also both from Stampin' Up

New Mix It Up Challenge - Anything Goes/Mixed Media

There's a new challenge today on the Mix It Up Challenge Blog and this time it's anything goes with the option of mixed media.

Head over to the challenge blog here for more details and to see the cards from the rest of the team.

I have to admit that the words 'mixed media' frighten me quite a bit so I've stuck with the anything goes option!

I have used some paper and topper from Making Cards magazine, cutting the paper into strips to create a scrappy strip background.

We're back today with a new challenge on the Mix It Up Challenge Blog.  This month it's anything goes with the optional twist of layering - 3 or more layers.

I'm sharing another of the cards I designed for the recent Create and Craft TV show from The Card Hut showcasing the new Mark Bardsley CD rom and USB:

Here's another view of my card:

For this card I used one of the decoupage sheets layered up with foam pads.

I also used paper and card from Craft Creations.

To make my card I used a piece of the Ombre paper and the Pierced Bloom dies from Stampin' Up plus their 'thank you' die.

I cut the flowers and words in white card used some of the darker ombre paper for the centre of the larger flowers and some white pearls for the small flowers.

New Mix It Up Challenge - Anything Goes/Inlaid Die Cut

We've got a new challenge for you today on the Mix It Up Challenge Blog - it's anything goes with an optional twist which this month is to use an inlaid die cut.

Head over to the challenge blog here for more details and to see the cards from the rest of the team.

I used a 'thank you' die from Stampin' Up and first cut it from a square piece of black paper and then from white card.

I used Gorgeous Grape and Magenta Madness ink pads from Stampin' Up applied with sponges to colour the die cut.

Then I put the inked die cut back into the negative space, using a piece of black paper underneath as a cheat to adding back in all the negative parts of the die cut!
