Craft a Scene Challenge 5 - Flowers
This is the second week for the Flowers challenge at Craft a Scene. The challenge is sponsored by Make It Crafty. Zoe has a wonderful collection of digi images, rubber stamps and crafting supplies. Be sure to check out her Chipboard Embellishments, they are fabulous.
Using Photoshop Elements, I combined Crooked Picket Fence, Daffodil Dell, and Hilly Lane to create my scene. I added the Thinking of You as well. This only took me about 20 minutes to get it the way I wanted it. I used Copics to color my scene, airbrushing the sky. Finished size is 6 inches square.

Craft a Scene Challenge 5 - Flowers
The challenge this month at Craft a Scene is Flowers. The challenge is sponsored by Make It Crafty. Zoe has a wonderful collection of digi images, rubber stamps and crafting supplies. Be sure to check out her Chipboard Embellishments, they are fabulous.
Using Photoshop Elements, I combined Garden Picket Fence, Daffodil Dell, Mushroom House and the Ivy Swing (I removed the swing). This only took me about 20 minutes to get it the way I wanted it. Before printing it out, I added a gradient background from blue to green. I used Copics to color my scene, which took another 45 minutes. So I would say total time on the card is about 1 1/4 hours. Finished size is 5 x 7 inches.

Craft a Scene Challenge 4 - Silhouettes
This is the second week for the Silhouette challenge this month at Craft a Scene. The challenge is sponsored by Caroline's Digi Stamps. For my card I again used her Silhouette 2 digi set.
I combined the squirrel, the circle image, some leaves and the fairy to make the center image which I printed onto acetate. Then I combined the Thank You circle with one of the backgrounds. Using my Cheery Lynn Circle Stacker Nesting dies, I created the opening in both the card base and the front panel. I created another printed panel for the inside. Finished size is 6" square.
This is a really fun set of digi images to play with. Be sure to stop by the Craft a Scene blog for more silhouette inspiration from Caroline's and to join in on the fun.

Craft a Scene Challenge 4 - Silhouettes
The challenge this month at Craft a Scene is Silhouettes, something in your project must be silhouetted. The challenge is sponsored by Caroline's Digi Stamps. For my cards I used her Silhouette 2 digi set.
Using Photoshop Elements, I combined my images to create my card. Everything you see comes in this digi set. It was a lot of fun to combine the images to create just the scene I wanted. I printed the center section a second time, cut it out and popped it up on the first printing. Finished size is 5.5" square.

Craft a Scene Challenge 3 - Moonlight
This is the second week of the Moonlight theme challenge at Craft a Scene. Kevin from Stampscapes is giving the challenge winner a $25 shopping spree at his website.
This card is quite simple to make; stamp Cloud with Rising Moon Large on top and Autumn Brook on the bottom. I stamped with Memento Tuxedo Black ink onto Cryogen paper. Copics used:
Trees - G40, G82
Water - B000, B01, B93, BV20
Waters Edge and Rocks - E50, E70
I airbrushed quite a few colors around the edge of the scene to get the depth of color I wanted: BV20, BV23, BV25, BV29
The last step was to frame the scene with Twisting Leaves Small on top and Cattails Large on the bottom. All stamps are from Stampscapes Rubber Stamps. Finished size is 5.5 inches square.

Craft a Scene Challenge 3 - Moonlight
Today is the third challenge over at Craft a Scene; the theme this month is Moonlight. And we have a sponsor for this challenge, Kevin from Stampscapes is giving the challenge winner a $25 shopping spree at his website. How generous is that?
I love making tall scenes and this was inspired by a scene from Kevin's gallery, Kevin's scene is done with dye inks on glossy paper. I created mine on Cryogen metallic paper and colored it with Copics. All stamps are from Stampscapes rubber stamps. I started with the Seaside Cove stamp first, then added Boulders with Lichen in the foreground which I masked with Eclipse tape. Next I added the sand pattern. To create the sky, I stamped Eerie Moon in the sky, filling in with Cloud Strips above and below it. Next I added Palm Island. I added some color to the sand and island - E31, rocks E70. I then airbrushed blue into the sky and around the edges; B28, B29, B39. The last step was to add the palm Fronds top and bottom. Finished size is 4 x 9.25 inches and will fit a business envelope. Be sure to visit the Craft a Scene challenge blog for more inspiration and to join in on the fun.
