Another Design Team Post for2Crafty Chipboard"A Moment Captured"

Well hi there & hello. 

Thanks so much for stopping by the blog.

Today I have another mixed media layout to share with you

& hopefully inspire you too. This one is a "design team" project
for 2Crafty Chipboard.

THIS ONE IS NOT A KIT UNFORTUNATELY !! 

2Crafty Chipboard Used...

Circle Dot Frame

"A Moment Captured"-title

After firstly creating a little mixed media background with stencils,

sprays, mesh & stamps as well as a little work along the top & bottom

 edges of the page by distressing & using a border punch in a slightly

different way than normal. Then I could set about altering & customising

the chipboard to create a lovely "monochromatic" theme. Thats the beauty

of chipboard, you can alter it anyway you like. Just sooo easy.

I used a piece of the "Circle Dot Frame" to help draw the eye into my photo &

I used a piece of this gorgeous "Corner Ivy" in a slightly different way than you

would normally.

All the chipboard pieces were simply given a couple of coats of white gesso
followed by a light spray with some lovey "jacarandah blue" spray to tie it all
into the background colour. A light sprinkling of glass micro beads in the
same colour were also added for some added texture

I have used this awesome little chipboard title,

"A Moment Captured" which was treated with the same

colours & the same process too.

Lastly I have added a sprinkling of the tiny hearts around the
page which I also treated also in the same way too.

This kit features some many gorgeous little fairy images,
& not to mention all the little butterflies & dragonflies too.

Like this sweet little "Love This Memory" word title strip, some
sweet little chipboard daisies & some brand newly released
chipboard wire pieces too.

I am a little obsessed with burlap & this gorgeous burlap flower
is just sooo striking, especially when teamed with the soft &
pretty cream silky one!! 💘💘

There are lots of really beautiful flowers in this kit.
I particularly love this little white vine.

A Mixed Media Self Portrait"A Moment Captured"

Hi there, thanks so much for calling by.

Today I have a rare self portrait to show you.

Lots Of mixed media, some lovely pieces of my favourite

2Crafty Chipboard, lots of bright colours & some sweet little flowers too.

. This one was part of my design team work

2Crafty Chipboard this week.

After creating my mixed media background with 

stencilling, sprays, inks & stamping I then set to work

on the chipboard colouring it up with acrylic paints to

customise it to create a nice consistent colour palette.

 

I decided to tear & also do some "paper punching" & some layering
 down the left side of my page to add a point of difference. I also used an
"embroidery stamp" to stamp both the top & bottom edges too.

Here is a close up photo of my background where

you can see the detail. Maybe it might inspire you

to try something similar.
