This and that

I made a couple of really contrasting cards yesterday ...

I coloured this gorgeous Sugar Nellie Simply Adorable (but very neglected!!) image, Rebecca, in using my promarkers.   The dp is Bo Bunny Welcome Home, which hasn't seeen daylight in months!!!  I added raffia lace, satin ribbon, a pearl swirl and some WOC flowers.

Challenges:
Sugar Bowl - sketch
Oldie But a Goodie - flower power
Incy Wincy - dust off
Bunny Zoe - swirls and lace

And then I decided to do the inspiration challenge over at the Allsorts challenge, using as similar stash as possible from that sent to the DT ...
I used papers from Memory box and distressed, tore and inked them up. I diecut the weathered clock from kraft paper and inked the edges.  The bird and cage are a TH shapers and movers die set, and the bird has been inked with walnut stain distress ink, and the cage coloured using vintage photo distress stain, rock candy crackle paint and walnut stain distress ink.  I stamped the Sugar Nellie little birdie and TH sentiments using sepia ink, before adding ribbon, buttons with twine through them and some flat backed pearls.

Challenges:
Allsorts - a challenge for the DT
Craft your Passion - kraft and lace/ribbon
Simon Says Stamp and Show - no rules
Sir Stampalot - your crafty passion (distressing, everything Tim Holtz, kraft)

Loving the Tim card. No matter how hard I try I don't seem to be able to get that style right. Will you provide lessons in August?

Two really great cards Cathy and it would be impossible to choose a favourite.

As somebody who can't colour in for toffee, I have been back to look at the first one several times as I was so blown away by it. I even called my hubby to have a look because it is so expertly done it looks like a photograph. Simply fabulous work.

Thank you so much for sharing your 'Crafty Passion' with us at Stampalot Challenge this month.
