Good morning everyone! Another lovely day here, although we may get rain later. Thankfully our summer hasn't been overly hot yet. The contractors are starting today with my new roof. That will be one job down. I actually have four maintenance jobs planned for this year, so it's nice to finally get them started.
Today I'm using a S.W.A.L.K. stamp, that I received from a blogger friend. Thanks so much Sandra! When using a rubber stamp, versus a digi stamp, I like to use my watercolours for something a little different. The colours tend to be softer, and the backgrounds can be fun. For the sky though, I've used pan pastels....love how easy it is to make the clouds.
The border pattern is a sticky tape that I picked up at the dollar store, while the DP is from my stash. The pretty bow sets it off nicely, and just a few pearls for the added touch.
Thanks for stopping by, and I do hope you too are having an enjoyable summer!

Sometimes you need a card to cheer someone up, but where get well wishes don't really apply. I think this one should do the trick. Here I have water coloured a couple of older Magnolia stamps, adding a bit of sparkle for the water. Just a simple design, with no extra bits and pieces that could fall off, but hopefully something to brighten his day.
Hope your weekend is bright and sunny. Take care.
Some challenges for my card:
This is definitely not me!! Enough after a couple of glasses of wine...this would not be me! But for those of you that are young of heart, and maybe sound mind and body....you go for it girls! lol
Another fine image from Dr Digi, titled Wired for Sound. Makes for a fun Birthday card, and sure to bring a smile.
Worked with my copics once again, with some pencil for the path and grass. Using up some older DP from Pink Paislee, and then the sentiment is from Art Impressions. Nice simple design for a card that will slip neatly in the post.

Sparkle and Shine
Hello there. This summer has been so crazy busy, and it's not getting any better. Now my Dad is in the hospital and hopefully moving to a nursing home. My parents live a fair distance from me....so rather stressful until things get sorted. I'm hoping to do some crafting today for some rest and relaxation. Hope it works!
Had another play with stencils the other week, and this time added some embossing paste and glitter. I'm really pleased with this one. The butterfly was made with a stencil...inked, then embossing paste, then Mica D'Lights while the paste is still wet. Amazing sparkle that even photographs well.
I'm actually trying to make use of some of those items I've purchased then buried away in my craft room. You know how that goes, I'm sure!
Wishing you all the best for a wonderful day.

Stencils Galore!
Well, it's time for a break. I've been rather busy doing some work around the house this week, and today it was cleanup time. Sanding and varnishing....that dust gets everywhere! I managed to get it finished during a break in the weather where I could have the windows open. Definitely smelly stuff!
I had a good play with some stencils....four of them actually! Although most of the work is with distress inks, for the flowers I've used an embossing paste. This gives some added dimension, plus when it was still wet, I sprinkled some glitter. Something quite different for me, but it sure was fun! Just a sentiment stamp and a rub-on butterfly to finish it off.
Thanks for stopping by. Hope you're having a wonderful summer, and maybe even some crafty fun!

Pretty colours
Good morning everyone! I have been really busy this week with not much time for crafting, but today I am having a break. I'm heading out to a craft class to learn something new! Yay! My daughter is going too, and then we are going out for supper, so today's looking good! Hope yours is too.
Here, I've used a Magnolia stamp and watercolours, along with the 'out of the box' technique done with an oval die. Yellow and pink are my colours today, and as you can see, I cut a circle from my DP and stamped a sentiment in behind. A pretty ribbon and charm, a fancy die cut and corner punch and then I was done.
Off to get ready now, and I do hope my mosquito bites soon stop itching! Oh the joys of summer. Take care and have a wonderful weekend.
