Symbols of FEBRUARY

It's a new month and it's the first Wednesday of the month which means... it is time for a Hambo Hoedown! This Hoedown will last for the whole month of February (until March 1st at midnight.)

The theme this month is "Symbols of February" which means: 

• Purple (Feb Birthstone is Amethyst) 
• Violets (Feb's flower)
• Fishes/Water (The Zodiacs are Aquarius until the 18th and Pisces from the 19th on.) 

Now we aren't looking for Valentines (unless they fall into the above) - there should be lots of challenges that offer a Valentine's theme so we want to do something fun and unique! This should be awesome!

You can use any company's image for this challenge but if you have a Hambo image, why not use it?

The two winners of the challenge will receive a free digi of their choice from the Hambo digi store. You can enter this challenge once with a non-Hambo image or as many times as you would like if you are using Hambo images...

It's a Hambo Hoedown!

Wait! What??!! Yep, that's right! The Bacon Bits couldn't hold out anymore. We needed a Hoedown and we figured you needed one too. So are you ready to Hoedown?

This Hoedown will last for a month (until June 3rd at midnight EDT.) The theme is FLOWERS. (We've suffered through the showers, we deserve the flowers right??) Flowers need to be somewhere on your card.

You can use any company's image for this challenge but if you have a Hambo image, why not use it? If you don't have a Hambo image, feel free to grab a freebie.

Grandma's feather bed!!

I made this card for last weeks Try A New Technique challenge at Splitcoaststampers. The technique was to tear up little scraps of paper, glue them onto some cardstock, overlapping in places, stamp and emboss on it, then cut it into sections and add it to your project. It kinda reminds me of old fashioned quilts!! The king your Granny had on her big bed!!  I have used the GERANIUM digital image from Hambo Stamps and colored it in with promarkers then matted and layered everything on a scrap piece of corrugated card that has had the gesso treatment.

See You Next Spring...

Hi There!  Kendra here today and I'm thinking about the fact that all of the pretty summer flowers are gone and the colors of Fall have almost completely disappeared from the trees.   This gorgeous digital image called Geranium reminds me that Spring will be here again!

For my card today, I also participated in the Splitcoast Stampers Free 4 All Challenge this week which is called Have A Heart (F4A196).  So I included a heart button on my project.  Play Along!!!
