Circle of Life @ Little Red Wagon

This week at

it's Kate's turn to choose the challenge and she's continuing with Elton John themed challenges and she's saying (singing), "Circle of Life" which means she would like to see a circle or circles on your project.

This is what I did.....

Let's see, I've got a circle wreath on a stitched die cut circle on a scalloped circle with some pearls which are also circles.  And, if you want to get really technical, there are a lot of dots on both the wreath and the patterned paper which could also count as circles, so I think I'm covered.  Digi was made in Canva.

Why not give our challenge a go this week and join us?  And, if you'd like more inspiration, be sure to check out what the Girlfriends have made.

Craft With Kraft! @ Little Red Wagon

This week at

it's my turn to choose the challenge and I'm saying, "Craft With Kraft!" which just means that you need to use kraft paper on your project.

This is what I did....

Made a card for my husband's niece's upcoming bridal shower.  I know it looks like I put those paper flowers a wee bit too close to the words....but kinda had to go that way.  Since I was foiling the sentiment, I had to print it out with my laser printer....which I don't normally use for crafting, so am not very familiar with which direction the paper needs to be for printing.  And since I didn't notice there was a couple of tiny words on that piece of patterned paper (my intention was to print the sentiment nowhere near that small cluster of graphics on an otherwise just striped piece of patterned paper) which are upside down compared to the sentiment until after I foiled it, well, rather than go through the whole process again, I just covered up my mistake with said flower.  Ta-da.

So, why not give our challenge a go this week and join us?  And, if you'd like more inspiration, be sure to check out what the Girlfriends have made.

Let the Sun Shine! @ Little Red Wagon

This week at

it's Brenda's turn to choose the challenge and she's saying, "Let the Sun Shine!" which just means that she would like to see a sun on your project.  Perfect for summer!

This is what I did.....

....and for the money shot....

....I foiled again!  As you can see, this wasn't the best foiling job ever.  Not sure if it's the cheap no-name foil I got off Amazon or the cheap laminator I bought at Walmart.  I'm thinking it might be a combination of both those.  I want to get my hands on some Thermoweb foil or the like to see how that goes.  Then I can decide if I need to spend some money.  (:

Sentiment came from the Sillouette Design store.  I just printed it rather than cutting it out.  I was thinking about designing it myself but I still have credits from a very long ago gifted gift card so I decided I would just go ahead and buy it.

So, why not give our challenge a go this week and join us?  And, if you'd like more inspiration, be sure to check out what the Girlfriends have made.

Bits! @ Little Red Wagon

  This week at

it's Brenda's turn to choose the challenge and she's saying, "Bits!" which just means that she wants to see those bits & bobs, leftovers, uncoloured set-aside stamped images, discarded backgrounds etc. etc. etc.  A great way to clean up the craft desk!

This is what I did.....

I used a stamp from All Dressed Up that I've had printed out for mooooooonnnnnnnths.  In fact, it might even be yeeeeeaaaaars.  Every once in awhile I'll go through my digis and print out four or five pages of them (four to a page) so I can quickly colour something up....especially since there would be times when the computer would be taken by one of my kidlets.  It's not so crucial to have this stack now as my kids all have their own laptops these days, so it's been some time since I've done that.  As you can see, the background is made up of some patterned paper scraps.  A bit of distressing, some bling, and call it done.

I will say, I think our bride was a bit too angular with the blush.  Still, it's good to know that I can colour a face about as good as I could....well.....colour a face.  Life imitates art and all that.  (:

Why not give our challenge at go this week and join us?  And, if you'd like more inspiration, be sure to check out what the Girlfriends have made.
