Happy New Year

Happy New Year to you all!

Hope you've all had a wonderful Christmas and New Year whatever you've been up to. Here's to a happy, healthy and crafty 2019. Hope you're looking forward to more fabulous products from IndigoBlu. I'm sure Kay and Alfie will delight you with what's in store. In the meantime here's my quick make for the New Year.

I made a start using the Ink Smooshing technique. The Distress Oxide was pressed onto my Glass mat and spritzed with water. I then dragged my watercolour card through.

Each colour was dried before adding the next so the colours stayed true and didn't create a muddy mess.

The colours were added in the following order - Picked Raspberry, Spiced Marmalade and Wilted Violet. Once dried drips of water were flicked onto the page and dabbed with kitchen roll to lift the colour.

Using the circle and barbed wire border from the Skullduggery Borders A5 Stamp Set this was inked with the Picked Raspberry.

Part of the stamp was used to make a second print using Wilted Violet and offset from first stamp. The words were taken from the Mindfulness #1 stamp set and stamped in Versafine Clair Charming Pink

The numbers were stamped onto a second Smooshed sheet in Charming Pink and then cut out and mounted onto pink cardstock. Happy New Year was written with a White Posca pen also on pink cardstock and cut out.

The card was then assembled with the numbers across the middle of the card and the Happy New Year placed beneath the 2019. The Smooshed watercolour card was mounted onto a pink card blank. Finally white highlights were added using the White Posca pen.

Thank you for stopping by and once again Happy New Year!

Happy 2019 !

Wishing you a very happy and healthy 2019!

This gorgeous hare is happily jumping into the new year! For the background I used Distress Oxides in Worn lipstick, Broken China, and Bundled Sage.I also used these colours to stamp the stars, numbers, and heart flowers.

The gorgeous hare was heat embossed in dark brown.

Have a fabulous year!

Luscious Christmas

Hello, Kay M here today to share my simple luscious Christmas card using this year’s fabulous Christmas stamps(Christmas Spirit and IndigoBlu Bauble) from IndigoBlu.

I used Cherry Lips, Fizzy Pop and Lavender Luscious Powders on an approx.15cm square of white card with water.

When dry, I used a stamping platform to stamp with a waterproof ink, the border stamp as shown, then painted in the bottles with white Gee-Sso-Good.  TIP. Paint over the details in the bottles and jars but try to keep inside the outer lines.  Keep the stamp in place on the stamping platform for the next stage.

When the paint has dried, re-stamp.

Then move the stamp on the platform to repeat to complete the border.

The card was trimmed to fit on to a 15cm square card blank with a black mat.  The lovely star border stamp was used to frame the card front, then it was adhered to the card blank.

I did add at this stage a little splatter of Cherry Lips Luscious powdermixed with water.

The sentiment from IndigoBlu Bauble was stamped in black on white card and cut out, edged with black ink and the Cherry Lips and added to the card to finish.

Thanks for visiting and you can catch up with Kay on Hochanda on 17th December at 11am and 3pm.

Take care,  Kay M. x
