Hi everyone!!!
I was recently asked to create a case to hold cards (gifts) for an upcoming wedding. I was given a photo for inspiration and began going to work on it. My first task was to find a vintage looking briefcase, suitcase, or chest. I checked Michael's and the only chest they had was far too small. I searched all over town including all of the local vintage/antique shops that I could find. The last store I went to was a small shop that alters vintage items and resells them. They did not have anything on hand but when I explained what I was looking to do...the owner said she thought she knew of the perfect suitcase and could have it on hand the next morning. I went the next morning to check it out and although it was exactly what I was imagining in my head...I thought it would work perfectly and so I bought it! Here are the results of my find and my work.
I had so much fun making this suitcase and I am super proud of how it turned out! I am so used to only making cards and scrapbook pages that I was a bit unsure of myself. I loved the challenge and was so inspired to make this that it only took me two full days to make it! I can't wait for my next chance to make another one!

Hi everyone!
It has been several months since I've done any coloring but felt like doing some today! I colored this Simply Betty digi stamp with my Copic markers. I'm pretty out of practice but I think it turned out ok. The house image is a print and cut image from the Silhouette store. There is another half to the image but I cut it in half to save space. The sun is also an image from the Silhouette store that I cut on my Cameo. I wanted to do some kind of hard working momma or housewife sentiment but the old brain just couldn't come up with anything clever so I just did a birthday sentiment on the inside. That sentiment was done with my Cameo, the Chomas Creations pen holder, and a white Gelly Roll pen. Hope you enjoy!

Hi Everyone!
I'm feeling pretty good about the fact that I've been crafting more lately! I've done one card per day the last three days (and blogged about them)...lets hope I can keep up the momentum. This cutie (by Saturated Canary) was another that I colored a while ago but finally got her on a card. I was inspired to do this card after watching Warm Bodies with my hubby and son last weekend. My boys love anything to do with zombies.
The chevron paper is from my LSS (I think they must have printed them themselves as the name on the bottom of the paper is the name of their store), the other papers were from my scrap paper bin so I am not sure where they are from. The burlap ribbon is by Celebrate It from Michaels (I so love this ribbon!!!) Hope you all enjoy!

Hi everyone!
A while back I was in a coloring mood but not so much of a card making mood so I ended up coloring a bunch of images and put them away in a box. I am now trying to make time to put those images on some cards!!! I did color this image a while ago (sorry I don't remember the colors I used...I wrote them down but can't find the paper for some reason) and it is colored with my Copic markers of course. This card if fairly simple but I am a strong believer that sometimes less is more. The image is by Saturated Canary, the butterflies are from a Martha Stewart punch, the chevron paper is by Recollections, the sentiment is from Michaels (can't remember the brand), white cardstock is American Crafts, and purple cardstock is Bazzill. Hope you enjoy!

Hello! It's been quite a while since my last blog post but it feels good to be back! Just sharing a quick card I made using a Saturated Canary digi stamp. I colored her with Copic markers and absolutely love using these cotton candy colors together on an image. I cut the word "thanks" on my Cameo on American Crafts cardstock, I used Recollections brand polka dot paper, Recollections brand white flowers, and Celebrate It brand ribbon . I had been eyeballing the ribbon I wanted to use on this project and realized it was too wide for the size of the card I was making. But I wanted to use it and wanted to use it in a creative way (other than making a bow)...so I took two small pieces of string and tied the string in two different spots which bunched up the ribbon. It looked great that way alone but I decided to add the white flowers on both sides that I put the string around. I love the way it looks!!! I hope you enjoy it as well.
