Better Late Than Never

How often do you start a layout but never finish it? Or start a layout and then change the whole direction half way through? This happens to me a lot when I go away to a retreat, or when I get sick. I started this layout back at the end of June, at the Escape 2 Create retreat. It was my first ever attempt to do a Kraft+ challenge. If I remember correctly, June's challenge was to do a monochromatic layout. I got the base done, with the intention of finishing it when I got back home. Yeah, it never happened. So, now I am sharing it a month later, finally completed as a DT project for D-Lish Scraps, and with the challenge requirements for the Kraft+ July challenge (use roses three different ways).

I shared this project (and extra photos) on the D-Lish blog, right here. There are lots of D-Lish goodies on this layout, all available in the D-Lish store, right here

So, I am of the theory, better late than never, lol! At least I can now say I have completed ONE Kraft+ challenge. If I keep my fingers crossed I might be able to make it two. Time will tell.
Thanks for stopping by, and I hope you are having a lovely scrappy time. xxx

Pink

Sometimes, it is not a photo or pretty papers that makes me want to create a layout, but a product. In this case, it was the Kaisercraft die that created my background for this layout. It had been sitting on my bench since I purchased it, waiting patiently to be "played" with. Now was the time!

This layout was created for my May 26th blog post over at D-Lish Scraps. It features lots of D-Lish goodies such as the wild roses, flairs, star flowers, small roses and journalling spots. Below you will find a few close p images of my project.

Aren't these butterflies just divine? They are from Kaisercraft's All That Glitters paper range.

This die has since become one of my favourites - you can expect to see a lot of it in future projects.

So how do you start your projects? With a photo? With papers? With a product? Or with something totally different? i'd love to know, so please feel free to share.

Thanks for stopping by and joining me, and here's to a great weekend filled with crafting goodness. Cheers and hugs, xxx

Love Yourself Layout...

Hello crafters! Today I am sharing a layout I created for D-Lish Scraps as part of my DT commitments. This layout is featured on the D-Lish Scraps blog, right HERE. If you'd like to pop on over, you can ready the story behind my layout, and view many more pictures.

I have also included this layout in my April Kit - two layouts for $25 with full instructions and supplies. But I only have one left, so first in, first served. Please follow the link for details, and either message me, email me, or leave a comment on this post if you would like to purchase a kit.
The kits can also be found in my ETSY store - Jules And Bling
Thank-you for stopping by, and I hope you are having an awesome craft time!

Cards and Tags For Imaginarium Designs...

Wow, life has been SO busy! My hubby is home between jobs, so we are trying to make the most of the family time together (as a big break between jobs doesn't happen often). My bestie Annette Gearside came down to spend 10 fabulous days with me, and to attend the annual Escape 2 Create retreat at Port Lincoln. We seriously had the best time EVER!!!!!
But now it is time to go back to reality. :)

So, I thought I had better start by catching up by sharing a card and tag that I created for Imaginarium Designs. The Design Team project theme for March was Cards and Tags, so these two pretties are my contribution. If you would like to see some of the other projects created by the team, just click here, on the Imaginarium Designs blog link.

You all know how much I love colour, so I had an absolute blast playing and creating this tag. Every time I create something like this, I remember why I love spray mists sooooo much. :) No wonder my collection keeps growing.
Keeping it short today, as I still have a lot to get done on my "To Do" list today.
Thanks for stopping by,

Kaisercraft Saturday Sketch...

If you hop on over to the Kaisercraft blog - right here - you'll find the current Saturday Sketch #4. Sandie Edwards and I decided to have some fun with the same papers, and same sketch. But the end results are totally different. :-)

"LOVE"
Created using the Kaisercraft Lady Rose Collection.
Here's the link to the sketch sample

I usually use Glimmermist on my flowers, but for something different, this time I coated them with Glimmer Glaze. It gives a much more pearlescent effect.

And I am totally loving the glitter gold embossing powder. :-)
Hope you've had an awesome weekend.xxx

Kaisercraft Base Coat III...

The last release for October is the Basecoat III Collection. I'm of the theory you can NEVER have too much Basecoat. I love the colours in this range - great neutrals and earthy colours.

First up, I decided to check out how well these papers work for a masculine card. What do you think?

And then I decided to try them out on a feminine layout. Yep, the papers work for that too. :-)
For a full list of all the materials used, please check out the Kaisercraft blog - right here

I've used lots of layers, and collectables to create this layout. Then added flowers for a feminine touch. And of course, some bling. ;-)

Happy scrapping! xxx

Kaisercraft Gingerbread Collection...

The Gingerbread Collection (another October release) is a super sweet Christmas range. There's nothing traditional about this range, which makes it perfect for a fun and whimsical Christmas project.

My advent calendar has been created using Gingerbread Collection papers, collectables, and wooden flourishes. For a full list of materials used, please visit the Kaisercraft blog - right here

These little boxes are just so darn cute! I can't wait to fill them with sweets and treats for the Christmas holidays. My girls are going to enjoy this so much.

Now I just have to wait for Christmas to arrive. :-) How many days do we have left?
(Here's a hint: It's less than two months, lol!!!)
Have a great weekend.
Cheers, xxx

Kaisercraft Hidden Treasures Collection...

The second release for October is one of my all time favourites - Hidden Treasures Collection. I just love this vintage collection - so magical and charming.

I created my card with the 6.5 x 6.5 paper pad.
For a full supply list, please visit the Kaisercraft blog - right here

My layout was created with Hidden Treasures papers, collectables, rub-ons, and rhinestones. There are lots of layers and little details on this layout.

I'm in love with those Babushka Dolls. Seriously cute!!!

What's your favourite Kaisercraft release?
