End of an era...

As I already let my loyal, local customers know, I thought I would let the rest of you know too...

As of July 1, 2013 I will no longer be a Stampin' Up Demonstrator. I have felt torn as I love to teach stamping classes but it has been increasing difficult to maintain a consistent customer base due to their personal and financial commitments.

I have also been asked to be the Creative A
ctivities Coordinator for my MOPS group. I needed to set my priorities as to not compromise what is most important in my life.

Thank you to all of you readers for visiting and sharing your comments over the last 2 years! I look forward to sharing more projects in the future, when my busy schedule allows, of course!

Stylin' Stampin' Squad Blog Hop: May 2013 Edition

Guess what? IT’S MAY!! Wanna know something else? It snowed here yesterday!?! Crazy, right? But I am optimistic that Spring WILL arrive here sometime soon!

And since we have started another month, it means that it’s time for another Stylin Stampin Squad Blog Hop!!

I am joined by 10 other Stampin’ Up! Independent Demonstrators to share with you projects we have made that celebrate Stampin’ Up’s 25th Anniversary!

The demonstrators participating this month are:

  1. Pam S. of Stampin' in the Sun!
  2. Nancy B. of Lady Stamps-A-Lot
  3. Rose C. of Stamp with Rose
  4. Tonya B. of Stampin' with Tonya
  5. Dawn S. of Dawn's Creative Chalet
  6. Darcy J. of DJ's Stampin' Place
  7. Pamela W. of Stinky Tofu
  8. Kim R. of Stamping with Kim
  9. Heidi B of Stuck on Stampin'
  10. Bree R. of Craft-somnia
  11. Diana E. of Stampin' Fun with Diana

So this month we were encouraged to use products that are retiring and that will not be returning in the 2013-2014 catalog. We also had the option of using any of the “Best Of” stamps that have been released so far this year.

I chose to make a card using some of the products that I will miss most!

I recall how excited I was a couple years ago when I first "met" the Build-a-Blossom stamps and their coordinating punch, Blossoms Petals Builder. Now the shapes in the punch are pretty versatile, but I love using them best when I want a quick and easy way to make flowers. Their presence will be missed in the upcoming catalog!

I will also GREATLY miss Lucky Limeade, Not Quite Navy and Baja Breeze. I just knew this card needed to show them off one last time!!

And to that super-cute greeting, I'd say, "Friendly Phrases, we have just become good friends! Why must you leave me??"

I am certainly going to miss these products but am VERY excited for the new items that will make their debut on May 31st!!
