Using Small Stamps to Create a Focal Point featuring Blue Skies and Joy to the Woods

Christmas Cards by Jess Gerstner using Lawn Fawn Joy to the Woods and Blue Skies

Hello crafty friends! It's Jess and today I have a card set featuring Lawn Fawn's Peace Joy Love papers, Blue Skies stamps and Joy to the Woods stamps and dies. Since the current challenge is all about focusing on the sentiment I decided to use the arrows from Blue Skies to draw attention to my sentiment. For more on how I achieved this look check out my video.

As discussed in the video I used Hero Arts Ombre Inks to get the gradation in color with the arrows. There are some background sets out there that use arrows in a similar way but isn't it nice to be able to use what you have and customize? Of course you could use any sentiment and papers but I wanted to make some Christmas cards for the Caring Hearts Card Drive.

I hope you enjoyed my cards and video! Don't forget to participate in the latest challenge to use sentiments!

Fresh takes on some Lawn Fawn favorites!

Hi, Suzanne from the Facebook Inspiration Team (FIT) here to share some cards that will make you take a fresh look at your Lawn Fawn stamps!

For the January FIT blog hop, I posted this card. I made the waves with the big pattern stamp from Woodgrain Backdrops. Since I was so happy with this card, I was inspired to take another look at my Lawn Fawn stamps to see what new combos I could create!

This card uses the double popsicle from Here's the Scoop. Since the face on the popsicle is in the middle of the image, I cut it in half to make two smaller popsicles for a quick love-themed card.

Here's another sweet treat: I used the outline ice cream stamp from Here's the Scoop to make a popcorn-themed hello card!

So how did I make the popcorn box? I stamped the chopstick from Let's Roll five times, and colored each chopstick red. I cut the box from the card stock, adhered it to the card and added a little shading with one of my markers. (The faces on the kernels are from Milk And Cookies and Love You A Latte.)

I hope that the cards I've shared with you today inspire you to take a fresh look at your favorite Lawn Fawn sets and create something new! (FIT member Isha had a sweet post yesterday with her own "out of the box" ideas...make sure you check it out!)

Don't forget, you still have time to play along with our Dots and Stripes challenge, sponsored by Ellen Hutson!

Falling (Die cut) Hearts!

Hi everyone! It's Marina :) So sorry, I know that I was supposed to post on Thursday but I had some delays for my flight and I got home late. I'm here now to share with you a card using some heart dies.

I'm taking various copic markers in different shades of pink and red. You can use any colour combinations or other types of medium, watercolour or even ink pads. I took the string of hearts die from the Lawn Fawn Stitched Journaling Card Die. I made sure to colour the cardstock first because it's much fasted to colour a big space then tiny hearts but it's your choice :)

When that's done, I stamped out the jar from Lawn Fawn Bugs & Kisses stamp set from the top of the paper as though it looks like it's pouring out hearts. I decided to use the same concept for my sentiment. I took the letters from Lawn Fawn Milo's ABC and position them in a way that they also looks like they are falling out of the jar.

Tip : Position your letters first then use a large stamp press to pick up all the letters so that you stamp them all at once and with this you can even do multiple cards quickly.

Now I arrange the hearts until I like it and start to glue them down using Tombow liquid glue.

Hope you like it!

Creating Your Own Patterned Paper

Hi everyone! Thanks for coming by to Lawnscaping Challenge blog. It's me, Marina, here again to share with you my last individual post of the year. But there will be a few more Lawnscaping Challenges for the year so catch me and my teammate over at the Lawnscaping Facebook Page.

I'm featuring the Love You a Latte stamp set, the stitched rectangle die and stitched journaling card die by Lawn Fawn. I will show you how to make your own patterned paper.

You can always stamp your choice of images individually but to save time, you can always arrange the images you'd like to use and stick it to your stamping block like I did, in the photo below.

As you can see, we those four images pre-mounted on my block, I can just go on and stamp them repeatedly around the front of my card. I love to stamp some of the parts off the page so that it will look like it's continuous and I've just cut down from a bigger piece of patterned paper.

Don't worry about those empty space because you can take those images individually and fill up the empty space or, you can take those tiny images in the stamp set to fill up the space.

This is my finished card :)

Hope you've enjoyed my card today and give this technique a try. And don't forget to subscribe to the Lawnscaping blog and Facebook page. And also, to stop by my blog for more ideas!
