Eucalyptus - Eukalyptus

I love the look of no line watercolouring but dang it, it's so difficult to do! I've been practising it and so far this is my best effort (still need loads of practise though...). I used a stamp from Breathe In, Breathe Out stamp set by Create a Smile and coloured it with my watercolours. I wanted to keep the card simple so I just splattered some grey watercolour on it, stamped my sentiment (translates as 'Huge congratulations') and matted the panel onto dark grey cardstock before adhering to light grey card base.

No line -vesiväritys on niin kaunista mutta myös niin vaikeaa..! Olen sitä koittanut harjoitella ja tässä toistaiseksi paras yritys. Leimana käytin Create a Smilen Breathe In, Breathe Out -setin eukalyptusta ja väritin, kuten sanottua, vesiväreillä. Halusin pitää kortin simppelinä, joten roiskin siihen vähän harmaata vesiväriä, leimasin Heidin Korttipajan tekstileiman ja kerrostin kartongille ennen korttipohjaan kiinnittämistä.

AAA Birthday: July - Heinäkuu

It's a brand new month and a brand new challenge over at AAA Birthday! This month we're asking you to make birthday cards for the girls. We also have a Guest Designer, the fabulously talented Michelle Lupton, taking part this month. Please be sure to check out her beautiful card!

For my DT card, I used Tiny Townie Garden Girl Lilac by Stamping Bella. She's so dainty and pretty, perfect for a girl! I stamped her onto X-Press It blending card and coloured her with my Copics. I die cut the panel using Stitched Stackers die by Penny Black. I stamped my sentiment (it says 'Birthday Wishes' in Finnish) onto a strip of vellum and embellished it with a tiny tag and a bow of string. I used a piece of patterned paper for the background.

Paneelin stanssasin Penny Blackin Stitched Stackers -setin stanssilla ja tekstin leimasin vellumvyötteeseen, jonka koristelin pienellä tagilla ja rusetilla. Taustalle vähän kuviopaperia.

Time Out Challenges: Guest Designer

 

I am so honoured to be the Guest Designer for Time Out Challenges for the coming forthnight, thank  you so very much for having me, ladies! The theme for the challenge is a funny one ;) as Time Out challenges you to be funny :)

I had a look at my stamps and thought that this little fella has the funniest look on his face. He's from the Polynesian Paradise set by My Favorite Things. I coloured him and the little flowers with my Copic markers and die cut them out. I then die cut the background with a Create a Smile die and stamped the sentiment from the Polynesian Paradise set before adhering the panel onto a card base that I folded from yellow cardstock. I then adhered the little fella in place - I think he likes to laze around on the flowers :)

I made these birthday cards for my eldest son who will soon turn 9. I have to say I don't know by whom these stamps are... I've had the first one for ages and I've forgotten the manufacturer and the second one I bought secondhand so I do not know the manufacturer. But anyway, I coloured both the images with my Copic markers and die cut the panels with MFT dies. For the first card, I die cut the rays behind the boy with a Create a Smile die and the letters and number with Memory Box dies. I placed a piece of patterned paper on the card base and adhered the panel to it. The boy I adhered with foam adhesives. For the second card, I masked the dragon and created the clouds with a mask and some Distress Oxide ink. I die cut the little banner with a Create a Smile die and stamped the sentiment on it (it says 'Congrats!'). I matted the panel onto some light blue cardstock and placed a piece of patterned paper behind it.

Nämä synttärikortit tein vanhimmalle pojalleni, joka täyttää piakkoin 9 vuotta. Leimasinten valmistajia en tiedä, mutta leimakuvat väritin Copiceilla ja paneelit stanssasin MFT:n stansseilla. Ensimmäisen kortin taustalle stanssasin säteet Create a Smilen stanssilla ja kirjaimet ja numerot Memory Boxin stanssilla. Taustalle hieman kuviopaperia. Toiseen korttiin maskasin lohikäärmeen ja mustetin pilvet maskin ja Distress Oxiden kanssa. Bannerin stanssasin Create a Smilen stanssilla ja leimasin siihen tekstin.

Create a Smile: Poppy - Unikko

Create a Smile has a Facebook group called Create a Smile Friends & Family and every month they host a new challenge over there. I was very lucky to win their February challenge with this card (please click the link to see the card) and to be invited to be their guest designer for the April challenge. Thank you so much, Create a Smile!

The challenge this month is One Layer. I created my card by folding a card base from X-Press It blending card and stamping the gorgeous poppy from the Pure Poppies set on it. I coloured the poppy with my Copic Markers. I then masked the edges of my card with masking tape and added a bit of Distress Oxide ink in Fossilized Amber with my brush to create the rectangle behind the poppy. Unfortunately, I don't have any Create a Smile sentiment stamps so I used one from the Uniko set called Pure Florals: Peony. Create a Smilella on Facebook-ryhmä nimeltään Create a Smile Friends & Family, jossa on mm. kuukausittain vaihtuva haaste. Olin onnekas ja voitin helmikuun haasteen tällä kortilla (klikkaa linkkiä, niin näet kortin) ja minua pyydettiin guest designeriksi huhtikuun haasteeseen. Haasteen aiheena on One Layer eli yksikerroksinen. Taittelin korttiini korttipohjan Copic-ystävällisestä kartongista ja leimasin sille tämän ihanan unikon Pure Poppies -setistä, jonka väritin Copiceilla. Maskasin sitten kortin reunat ja tein unikon taustalle suorakulmion Distress Oxide -musteella. Create a Smilen tekstileimoja minulla ei ole, joten käytin tähän Unikon tekstileimaa Pure Florals: Peony -setistä.

Tulips - Tulppaanit

I had a play with my new Create a Smile stamps. These are from the Tender Tulips set and they are big and beautiful! I coloured them with my Copic Markers and fussy cut them out. On my card base, I sponged some Distress Oxide ink through a Create a Smile stencil called Scattered Hearts and added a frame die cut with a Penny Black die from the Ribbon Stackers set. I actually mounted two die cut frames on top of each other to make it a bit thicker so that it might visually stand out a bit more from the background. The sentiment is from the Uniko stamp set Pure Florals: Peony.

* Inkspirational: Challenge #182 - Bedroom Photo (I was inspired by the yellow and tan in the photo as well as the shape of the headboard, I think the Ribbon Stackers die mimics that in a CAS way)

Käytin tähän korttiin uusia leimojani. Nämä ihanat isot tulppaanit ovat Tender Tulips -setistä, väritin ne Copiceilla ja leikkasin irti. Korttipohjaan tein sydämiä Distress Oxide -musteella ja Create a Smilen Scattered Hearts -sabluunalla. Kehykset tein Penny Blackin Ribbon Stackers -stanssilla, stanssasin kehyksiä kaksi ja kiinnitin ne päällekkäin. Tekstileima on Unikon Pure Florals: Peony -setistä.

The Flower Challenge #30 - Reminder

It's reminder time over at The Flower Challenge. Our theme this month is nice and easy: anything goes! For my card, I used Gardenia Blooms Journaling Card by Neat and Tangled which I coloured with my Copic Markers. The sentiment is a die cut one, I used Create a Smile die for that. For the background I used some Lili of the Valley patterned paper and used some clear sequins as my embellishments. I also rounded two corners of the card with a corner chomper.

Höyhenet - Feathers

Tämä kortti syntyi parin eri haasteen innoittamana: CAS(E) This Sketchista tuli luonnos ja Less Is Moresta tuli värit. Höyhenet on leimattu Create a Smilen Funky Feathers -setin leimoilla, väritin ne Copiceilla. Taustalle mustetin kevyesti suorakulmion Distress Oxide -musteella. Tekstileima on Papertrey Inkin. Koristeiksi laitoin muutaman pienen timantin.

I made this card for a couple of challenges: took the sketch from CAS(E) This Sketch and the colours from Less Is More. The feathers I used are from the 'Funky Feathers' set by Create a Smile, I coloured them with my Copics. For the background I did a bit of masking and brushed some Distress Oxide ink to create a soft rectangle. The sentiment is by Papertrey Ink and as embellishments I used a few clear rhinestones.

Tämä kortti syntyi Create a Smilen ihanalla aloe-leimalla, joka löytyy Sharp One -setistä. Väritin sen Copiceilla ja leikkasin irti. Ikkunan stanssasin MFT:n stanssilla ja taustalle laitoin kuviopaperia. Tekstileima on Papertrey Inkin.

I made this card with the sweet little aloe plant stamp by Create a Smile, it's from their set 'Sharp One'. I coloured it with my Copics and fussy cut it out. I die cut the window with an MFT die and placed some patterned paper behind it. The sentiment is by Papertrey Ink.

Vieraana Flower Challengessä - Guesting at The Flower Challenge

Elokuussa minulla on kunnia olla vieraana The Flower Challengesissä, jossa kuukauden haasteena on 'One Layer Card'. Ei siis kerroksia tai liimattavia koristeita, vain "yhden tason kortti", jossa pääosassa on kukkaleima. Omaan korttiini tein ensin tuon boordin maskaamalla ja Distress Oxidea levittämällä. Siihen päälle lisäsin vielä sydämiä levittämällä pinkkiä Distress Oxidea Create a Smilen sapluunan läpi. Leimakuva on Stamping Bellan Mason Jar of Flowers, jonka väritin Copiceilla. Tekstileima on Simon Says Stampia.

I have the huge honour of being the Guest Designer for the month of August for The Flower Challenge. Thank you so much, Viv and Aileen, for having me! :) The challenge for August is One Layer Card, so no layers, no additional embellishments - just one layer with a floral image. I created my card by first creating the pink border on my card base by masking and sponging on some Distress Oxide ink. I then added the hearts by sponging another pink Distress Oxide ink through a stencil by Create a Smile Stamps. The floral image is a Stamping Bella stamp called 'Mason Jar of Flowers' which I coloured with my Copic markers. The sentiment is by Simon Says Stamp.
