Special Numbers

I have been browsing around and have found myself a new  site to give me inspiration its called Vintage Journey and celebrates all things Vintage and "Tim".

The current challenge is special numbers and seeing as it is my Big Bruvvers birthday today I thought I would celebrate by making him this card made from Kraft card.

I used a clockwork mask in the background (honestly I did you just cant see it on the photo) using faded jeans before heat embossing Tim Holtz Stamp Anonymous clocks in walnut stain and clear embossing powder.

The clock face and hands were die cut using the weathered clock die which I inked in faded jeans before heat embossing this also with the clear powder  and added a touch of black soot DI afterwards.

The numbers were inked with the faded jeans and walnut stain and I distress the edge of the card with a bit more faded jeans.

Thanks for looking and I look forward to trying another challenge from the Vintag Journey team.

With Love

Dragons Dream TIO # 185 this fortnight is Pink with Hearts. So here is my bit of love for the week.

The background was started with picked raspberry, worn lipstick, victorian velvet and brushed pewter distress stains. However before swiping the tag in the stains I heat embossed in white WOW powder the heart from indigo blu.
Once the back ground was dry I embossed in clear powder the heart again but using picked raspberry Distress ink.
To add a bit more oomph I applied some more picked raspberry DI and finished of with a couple of embellishments and th ribbon.

Bye for now xx.

Classic

The Dragons Dream Tag It On Challenge is Orange and a letter so here is my tag especially for the challenge which I made for my Uncles 77th Birthday - He is definitely Classic and always the smartest in one of his Classy Blazers.

The Stamps are from Hotpicks  HP1206EZ and Visible Image.

I used a variety of oranges on the background including dried marigold and spiced maramalade stains along with tarnished brass and gathered twig. Some gold paint for some of the backgound stamping and some rusty hinge and spiced marmalade Distress Inks to finish of the edges.

And my letter is the Letter C for Classic.

Looking forward to the next challenge.

Indigo Blu - Splash Of Red

This months challenge at Indigo Blu is a splash of red and here is my interpretation.

The background was created using Distress ink Shaded Lilac and Distress stain brushed pewter swiped on my craft mat and spritzed with a little water.

The Indigo Blu stamps Hocus Pocus were stamped in Gathered twig and heat embossed with clear powder.

The flower was die cut from craft paper and covered with fired brick distress stain twice.

I painted the roof tops in fired brick and rubbed the edge of the tag with it as well.

It has all been finished off with a red ribbon and silver owl from my collection of embellishments.

This tag is earmarked for my mums Birthday at the beginning of March (so don't tell her) as she was a Brown Owl for a hundred years and it is still her favorite bird.

Shine

Hi, to try and get back into my crafting I had a quick look to see what challenges were going on and saw the Dragons Dream Tag It On challenge was red and a flower so I used this challenge as my inspiration. So here we go:-

The Background is made of acrylic paint (white and red) with a background stamp over the top in Gathered Twigs.

The flower from Paperartsy  Hot picks HP1203EZ stamped with crushed olive but heat embossed with WOW azure mist.

The words are from dylusions and they are stamped in black soot but again embossed with the WOW embossing powder.

NEC Inspiration

Hi my daughter and I went to the NEC at the weekend to the Christmas Hobby craft show and picked up some inspiration for decorating some MDF pieces we had just bought (Thank you Lyndsay Mason). Rather than buy lots of new things (as we had already spent our budget) we decided to try and create the same affect with paints, powders, glue, die cuts and embossed paper we already had.

This started off as just a plain MDF pencil pot holder and with a bit of time and plenty of black paint and sparkle I ended up with this fancy pot which is just right for the Craft Room 3D Challenge this week and is now sitting proudly on my desk at work.

And heres Amy's Christmas tree that she did along with me getting  differnet affect just with different colours.

Vintage Christmas

At the Craft Room the challenge is Vintage Christmas - So heres my first Christmas tag of the year, hopefully it wont be the only one I do.

The background was a variety of acrylic paints applied with a spritz of water and a dry baby wipe. The Snowflake is stamped in Nougat (Paperartsy Fresco Paint)with the bells and words stamped in Pine Needles DI and are from the PaperArtsy Hotpicks collection. The tag is finished with some rafia and a silver snowflake. Happy Crafting one and all.
