"Celebrate Friendship" Door hanger

Hi!  This is Joyce Shaulis focusing on friendship this month.  I love sweet little surprises of gifts and so today I will share an idea on how you can surprise a special friend or neighbor with a simple gift.  I made this door hanger plaque that I can hang on a neighbor's doorknob to surprise her when she arrives home.

I used Susan's co-branded stamps, Celebration of Simple, from Unity Stamp Co.  These stamps are super versatile and have endless possibilities.  I also used the mini POP ink in Ice and her Bouquet scrapbook paper.  I stamped with Ice the four banner images on the backside of the scrapbook paper.  Then I cut them out and swiped the edges in Ice.

Next, I swiped the Ice Mini POP ink onto a small scrap of white cardstock.  Using Mystery, I stamped the sentiment onto the Bouquet paper.

I cut out the sentiment and edged it in Kiss.  I drew an arrow shape onto the Ice stamped cardstock, cut it out and edged it.  I glued the sentiment onto the arrow.  Then, I painted Bahama Blue on a 5 x 7 matte board.

I cut two strips from the Bouquet paper ( 5 1/2" x 1/2").  Then I glued the arrows onto the strips.  Next, I glued down the banner pieces and the sentiment strips.  Using a ruler, I made a dashed border around the banners with a white gel pen.  I edged the matt board with the Kiss ink.

Using flowers from my craft stash, I layered flowers and glued rhinestones on top.  See photo for placement.

I used a 8' piece of pink ribbon to make a hanger and glued a small paper flower in center of ribbon.

I hope you enjoyed this idea to make a surprise gift for a friend, the possibilities are endless.

Happy Birthday Gift set

Hi everyone, Steph Ackerman here today and I am thrilled to be the guest designer this month for Susan K. Weckesser.

I received  the Live in Color Collection.  This is a gorgeous collection of whimsical images and beautiful colors and knew they'd be perfect for a gift ensemble.

The gift bag was originally pink and was somewhat faded by the sun.  Using the new ColorBox  Chalk Inks  in Harvest and Splash, I rubbed the ink pads across the gift bag, mixing the colors.  The colors of the inks coordinated really well with these papers.

I cut the Beautiful Daydreams paper to fit the gift bag, matting it with gray cardstock.  Then I fussy cut a cloud and the kite, adding them to the gift bag with foam adhesives for dimension.

Not wanting to waste any papers I had left, I created a coordinating  birthday card with the remaining paper and stamped "Happy Birthday" on a die cut oval I had left over from my previous birdhouse project.  I then matted it on several other dies before adding it to the card.

Thank you to Susan K. Weckesser, Inc. for giving me the opportunity to be a guest designer this month.  And thank you for stopping by today.

Steph

Spring card with a SURPRIZE!

I wanted to make a cheerful little card to welcome in Spring.  I know in our part of the world spring has been long in coming as we have had a snowy and cold winter this year!  Everyone is so looking forward to spring.  I made this card using Susan's paper called Live in Colour and Beautiful Day Dreams.

I cut a 12 x 5.5 inch piece of paper from Live in Colour, except where the line crossed over the large orange flower.  When I got to the flower I cut around it.  I then folded the card in half as well the flower, then I folded the flower horizontally and bend it down.

I then cut out some flowers and butterfly from the Beautiful Day paper and pop dotted them to the front of the card.  I also dug around in my stash of rub ons and found a saying from Kaiser Craft that was suitable and a little bird from Fancy Pants that was totally suited for this card. I assembled the card and then in side used more rub ons to say Hello Spring!

When you open up the card the middle flower pops up to greet you!

I hope you like this little card it so fun and spring like it makes me jump for joy that Spring is finally on its way.  Yes that is one of my kitties in the background checking out what I was doing.

Hope everyone has a great week and stays safe and sound!

Love Jennifer

Let it SNOW!

Hello crafty friends! Einat Kessler here with a new fun and easy project.
I always say I was born in the wrong place. I love my country but not the weather, the summer is too long and the winter is barely winter in North American or European terms...it rains, it gets a little cold but that's basically it. We only get snow on one mountain, which is a tourist attraction that you have to drive 3 hours to get to and try to have fun with too many people around you.

So...to encourage myself I created a cute card that I'm going to put on my work desk to help me imagine a snowy winter...

This card is very easy to make. First stamp the cute and amazing One of a kind winter by Susan Weckesser on a white cardstock. Make sure to use StazOn ink so it will not smear. Then color it with water colors or Copics. Cut it in a square or a round shape. I used Spellbinders Nestabilities. Then cut from different papers more shapes each one a little larger than the other. Adhere all the layers and add a title and a little bling!

Now all I have to do is look at my card and imagine....

Have fun Creating!
Einat
