My Sheri Crafts #191

Christmas

Design Team Sister, Sue wants us to create something with at least 3 dimensional embellishments... and do it in a Christmas theme.  I love this theme because I'm usually a last minute person and this one lets me have enough time to get ready for Christmas!  Come and join us at My Sheri Crafts and show us your project that includes all sorts of fun embellishments.

I decided to go with a tag.  This is actually large enough to hold a gift card in the back.  I do hope it's enough embellishments.

  • Paper from Recollection
  • Tag is from Cricut cartridge:  Tags, Bags, Boxes, and More
  • "Merry Christmas" is a stamp
  • Flourish is from Spellbinders

Thanks for looking!

My Sheri Crafts #183

This week at My Sheri Crafts, it is my turn to choose a theme...  I chose to go with tags.  Make any project that features a tag!

I decided to make a non-traditional tag-shaped tag.  I got the inspiration from walking around Walmart of all places... I saw some tags shaped like feet and hands for newborn presents.  I thought they were the cutest things so I said to myself... "why not?"  I am going to start making more tags shaped like different objects

  • "Happy Birthday" is a stamp
  • Papers are K & Company
  • Butterfly is from from Cricut cartridge: Anna's Garden
  • Rolled up flowers are Sizzix die cut
  • Purple paper flower is from a Fiskar flower punch
  • Flourish are Cheery Lynn die cuts

Thanks for looking!

My Sheri Crafts #135

Here's an interesting challenge over at My Sheri Crafts.  Design Team Sister, Sue, came out with the  chart below.  Our task was to make any project that used any 3 elements from the chart as long as they formed a straight line

I had quite a difficult time figuring out which row of elements to use... so I ended up using all the elements except a button and an image.

The tag shape is from Cricut cartridge: Picturesque.  Patterned paper is from DCWV and I embossed it with a Darice embossing folder.  The sentiment is a stamp and heat embossed.  The frame for the stamp is a Spellbinder die cut.  The flourish and leaves are Sizzix die cuts.  I used all sorts of different flowers from my stash.  Embellished with pearls all over the place.  The paper piercing is the eyelet on top of the tag.

Seven out of nine elements is not bad is it?

Thanks for looking!

My Sheri Crafts #100

It's that busy time at the end of the year... Christmas season!  This week's theme over at My Sheri Crafts is to decorate any packages, bags, or tags for Christmas

I decided to make gift card holders / tags that I can hang up on the tree.  I'm using non-traditional Christmas colors for my tags because I wanted to use up these coordinating papers from JoAnn's Peppermint Forest paper stack that I got last year

Each tag was made using a Spellbinder die big enough to cover the gift card holder in the back.  The gift card holder is from the Cricut cartridge: Bags, Tags, Boxes, & More.  I left it quite simple in the back and the white envelop is where I plan to write a little message to the recipient

Supplies used:
Papers - Jo-Ann Peppermint Forest stack
Sentiment on third tag is a stamp and colored with glitter gel pen
Close to My Heart - liquid glass on the dots on third tag
Design Studio
Darice - embossing folder
Fiskars - border punch on the first tag
Sizzix - flourish
Spellbinder - tag frames and large flower
Cricut cartridge: Tags, Bags, Boxes, & More

Card Sketch Challenge: 12-5 (extra credit)

For my niece, Emily's 2nd birthday... I made a tag to hold her gift card.  Her parents gave her the iPad so we gave her an iTunes gift card

I didn't feel comfortable just handing her a "gift card" so I tied it up to a Webkinz puppy

Supplies used:
Design Studio
Spellbinder - tag
Fiskars - scalloped circle
Cricut Gel Pens
Cricut cartridge: Celebrations - "2"
Cricut cartridge: Simply Sweet - stitched circle and "Emily"
Cricut cartridge: Sweet Treats - "happy birthday"

Made for extra credit of RAQ's 12-5 Card Sketch Challenge

Card Sketch Challege: 11-14 (extra credit)

This week's challenge included a tag for an extra credit and I wanted to follow the sketch but not exactly.  I found this shaped tag from Tags, Bags, Boxes, & More and definitely wanted to use it.  The "Happy Christmas" is from Wild Card and I used hot pink heat embossing powder.  Although it doesn't show in the picture... it's the exact match to the hot pink dots on the paper

Supplies used:
Card size -3.25" x 5.5"
Papers - JoAnn
Design Studio
Fiskars - border punch
Stickles
Cricut cartridge: Tags, Bags, Boxes & More - tag
