PROJECT LIFE
Yes I'm doing it! And I finally got my first page done. I've been good about printing out pictures and putting them in the spots but I finally got the journaling and stuff done on this one. Need to work on being faster with that or I will get too far behind.
If anyone has any good ideas on how to take photos of these in the page protectors please let me know!

With Dad
I posted a picture of my dad and Darren on Veteran's Day and while looking for pictures I was surprised that Evan had never seen Darren in his dress uniform and I had so very few pictures of the boys with their dad in his uniform. So Monday before mass we got them all together for a quick picture.
Guess I need to do that more often so that the kids have pictures of them with their favorite soldier!

Photos
So I decided that I need to do something with all my digital photos. I know I scrapbook them but I'm really slow and really behind on that and I've found that the boys really just like looking at the pictures. Maybe it means a turn in the way I scrapbook.

I decided to find all my CDs with pictures and make photo books with them so they aren't on CD, DVD and hard drives. It's going to be a big job. First I have to find all of them. I found this floppy disk that has one photo of Ian at age 1 with Santa. Did you know with as many computers as we have, we don't have a floppy drive any more. I'll get the picture off it and into the book but it was funny to find it this morning.

HO HO HO
Well we have been back in the USA for less than 6 months and I know the USA is big on finishing up one holiday and the next day getting ready for the next big one. Thanksgiving is a big holiday but it seems to get skipped all the time. I mean Walmart this year is starting their Black FRIDAY sales on Thanksgiving!! Not that I will be out there because I really hate Black Friday sales, I hate big crowds and don't do well with all the pushing and shoving, I'd really just rather pay a few more dollars. Cyber Monday is more my speed! And I really plan on not going to any shopping center besides the grocery store after Thanksgiving.
So since we were at the mall last night to celebrate the good report cards the boys brought home with cheesecake from the Cheesecake Factory and Santa was at the mall sitting there all by himself we decided to take the opportunity to get our annual picture with Santa done without the huge line and lots of little kids around! The kids weren't dressed as great as I would have liked but the Santa there was such a good looking Santa!

So an early HO HO HO to everyone!!

It's VOTING Day!!
You know why I'm excited about election day? Because hopefully that means tomorrow we'll see commercials about Hallmark cards that make me cry and toys that my kids want to buy and no longer see a string of political commercials that basically just contradict each other. Political commercials are just about the most useless thing I have ever seen.
Thank goodness for my DVR because I have a feeling I'll be getting the play by play on the election all day today.
Tonight we start up basketball practice for real. Went out and bought Ian some basketball shoes and a ball so we can practice dribbling here at home.
