Bride by Angel

Hi Creative Scrapbook Fans! This month I am going to show you how I created this layout titled the bride. It was created using the June Limited Edition Kit!

First I choose the pattern paper I though went well with my photo and color scheme. Then I primed my page using white Gesso.

Then I used prima color bloom spray in Tea stain and Soft Teal.

Using the circle stencil that was in the kit I then used soft texture paste over the page as shown below.(forgot to get a photo of just that step)

I felt it needed more color so I added more color bloom spray in both colors.I still felt like I need some Pink in this as the papers had them in it.so I pulled out some Tim Holtz oxide in worn lipstick. I also added some cracked pistachio and vintage photo.
I did this by rubbing some ink on a acrylic block with a lil spray water.

Mixed thw water around with the ink and made it muted. I did this with all 3 Colors.

Then I placed it flat on my paper in different areas.

I then primed my chipboard pieces with white gesso and rubbed Metallique Rose gold and opal magic Royal Robes wax over top of the primed pieces.

Added my Photos and flower clusters and a few chipboard pieces along with a thickers title.
That completes my layout titled the Bride.

Happy Tutorial

Today I would like to share how I created my layout using January Main Kit this month...
Below is a  step by step on how I created the happy layout.

First mat my pattern paper on cardstock leaving 1/4 inch boarder peeking out.
( I always like to matt on cardstock for stiffness)

I choose another piece of pattern paper and cut 3  2 inch strips. I then cut the strips and made ribbon tails on one end of each strips. As you see I one strip is shorter than the other for a staggered look.. Then used the opposite side of the strip to add another going across the first two as shown in the photo..

Using another pattern paper I used my salad plate from the kitchen to trace the circle. I then cut that out and placed it on top as shown.

Above and the ribbon tail strip I Placed pieces from the collection and layered as shown. I also used dollies from my stash to tuck in behind the cluster.

I also added clusters of flowers as you see here along with some buttons.
(In the finished layout you will see I moved the bottom flower cluster to be able to fit my photos..)

Have fun creating with your kits..They have some many bits and pieces to play with.

Album Binding Tutorial

This is how I constructed this Mini album.. I used this Idea for construction from Anna on you tube and made the rest my own.. This was done with My Creative Scrapbook November Album Kit.

ITEMS NOT IN THE KIT -
chipboard , magnets, red tape, priority envelope, and white cardstock.

First you will need 3 sheets of 12 x 12 cardstock for you base pages cut at 8 3/4 x 12.
on the 8 3/4 side you will score at 1/2 inch 4 5/8 inch and 4 3/4 inch.
Turn cardstock over and score at 6 inches.
Below will show you the cut areas. cut where you see dotted lines.

Then fold where you have scored and should look like this..

I have added white electrical tape to the binding side for reinforcements..

After all 3 pages are folded you add red tape to all flaps where you added the electric tape. This is your spine of the album. it should look like this. you attach one flap to the other to attach the pages together..

Then you should be left with this..This will be attached to the spine of your cover.

To make the cover you should cut 2 pieces of of medium weight chipboard at 7 x 4 1/2 and spine one at 7 2 1/2 .

Then I used priority mail enveloped to help with the hinges this make it stronger. I adhered 2  x 7 inch pieces to both front and back with red strong tape. Just stick all your pieces in the order they need to be as shown below and add you strips..

Then add tape all around to cover you cover. You can use whatever paper you want or cardstock. All you do is cover your album with paper. then you will add your book above to the spine of the cover. then you off to decorate the inside of your album. (You may like to decorate your album before attaching to the cover spine. That is up to you how you want to do that part)

Then you will make the flaps that will fit in your album pages.. Cut 6 4 x 12 pieces and score at 6 inches. These will go in each page back and front of the 3 pockets..

I have added magnets to mine before add pattern paper so it can stay close.. This is optional i just like the way it hold things together..
Below is the pages open and i show you where I added magnets...

I also made my own tags and added them( as you see in my finish photo) to each pocket as well..
Hope I explained right and you can follow along to make your own mini..

Layout Tutorial

Today I want to show you how I created this layout called Celebrate Doubles.

First I used a piece a white cardstock from my stash as a base. Then using the pattern paper from the main kit I cut out the middle as shown.

Then I trimmed another piece of paper from the the same kit and placed that in the center.

I then cut a big circle a medium circle and two small circles and placed them as shown below.
PS: You can use plates and cups from your kitchen to do these if you do not have any other way.

Then I cut out the hearts from the remaining piece of the backside of the paper we had used added a card and Jar from the pieces that was in the kit. I then used a doily from my stash and cut that in half tucking them in near the circles.

I then cut triangle's or pennants to form a banner on top and bottom of the layout.

Then I added the title and stickers from the sticker sheets, butterflies that was cut from the paper in the main kit and stickled on the banner with gold. I also used a black pen to pop out the circles by tracing them.

Add your Photo and you are done..

February Step By Step!

Today I will show you the steps it took to make this layout below..
First pick a sheet of pattern paper of you choice and matt it on white Cardstock. I leave a little of the white showing around all sides.
Then I brushed some Gesso over my paper.
Made a Banner with another piece of pattern paper and stuck that down as shown below.
Then I used a Doily form my stash and stuck that down right under my picture as shown.
I loved the tags that we got in the kit so I wanted to tuck them in on top the picture and the banner.
Then I added another tag below the picture and tied a bow using the ribbon in the kit.
Also added this cute banner to the top of the photo as well.
Then I added a cluster of flowers..

Added my title using the chipboard letters and there you have it.

Hope you enjoyed this simple easy layout!
