CHA 2015. Sizzix Booth tour

As you may know at the beginning of January CHA has taken place in Los Angeles. In this trade show are presented all new releases for 2015. I was there and, of course I went to visit the amazing Sizzix booth to see all the fabulous new dies and the ideas of the design team.

Como muchos de vosotros debéis saber a principios de enero se celebró el CHA 2015 en Los Ángeles. Yo estuve allí y, por supuesto, fui a visitar el stand de Sizzix. ¿Os apetece ver todas las novedades? Pues Stephanie Barnard y Jen Long nos enseñan sus nuevas colecciones y además os hago un pequeño tour por el stand.

Craft & Hobby Show 2015

Last week, I returned from the Craft & Hobby Show (CHA). This is an annual trade show where manufacturers, press, store owners and designers from all over the world gather to see the newest craft products and tools. It is quite inspiring to experience this show and always fun to meet new and old friends.

The Sizzix booth was busy the whole time! Each designer had a small area where their product was displayed. It is always so exciting to see my artwork transformed from flat art into 3D- it never gets old.

I was so happy to finally be able to share my newest Sizzix collection- Vintage Travel- a collection of fifteen dies inspired by my Paper Trail adventures in Scotty, my vintage camper, in 2014. You can read about the trip on my blog. The dies will be available in April.

Lucky me- my amazing Inspiration Team made awesome samples of the new dies for me to share at CHA. They worked all through the holidays to get the projects done and I am so grateful for the time, energy and incredible talent that they gave to help me. The sample designs were a huge hit at the show because they showcased the versatility of the dies and how you can put your own style on each one. Here's a small sample of their work... there will be more to come as the release approaches.

Here's a quick video I filmed in the booth with Scrapbook.com. While on the Paper Trail, I stopped in and filmed several videos at their warehouse in Arizona, so it was nice to see my friends again at CHA!

Now I am trying to get everything unpacked and cleaned up after the flurry of packing and sample -making before the show. Wish me luck with that!

¡Hola a todos! Como ya sabréis estos días se está celebrando el CHA en Los Ángeles, donde se presentan todas las novedades para 2014. Tuve la oportunidad de estar allí el fin de semana y por supuesto estuve visitando el maravilloso stand de Sizzix, para ver en persona todos los nuevos troqueles y las ideas del equipo de diseño. ¿Os apetece verlo? CHA Bound and Sneak Peek

I am packing up and getting ready to leave for CHA on Sunday. Kits for my Sizzix Workshop have been shipped, samples are almost done and I am faced with the usual dilemma of what to wear. I hear it was 117 degrees in Las Vegas next week so I will be hot no matter what I bring to wear so that takes the pressure off.

My new baby- themed collection "Cherished" will be launching at this show. I was working on the artwork for it in the car last summer as my husband and I drove the 20 hours to Miami, where my daughter and SIL live. We were so happy and excited to meet Daniel Benjamin, a very considerate boy, who waited till we got there to make his entrance. I'm sure each of you know someone who is having a baby. Crafting for little ones is so much fun!

Hi everyone! I am just back from the Craft & Hobby Show in Anaheim, CA, 

and thought I would show you a little of what was going on there. 

The picture above shows the banner over the Convention Center. Some of my 

designer friends are on their way over to set up their displays (yes, that is a leg 

you see sticking out- part of a mannequin).

Here is my new line that debuted at the show. It is called Picket Fence and it 

is all about the garden. There are 16 dies and folders- hope you love them. 

This collection will be available in June!

Part of the collection... there are 5 XL ScoreBoards that are great for project bases

and decorative Sizzlits and Textured Impressions folders to match.

Beth Reames is the talented and amazing designer who designed the packaging samples

and found this cool potting bench where the samples are displayed. Love her work!

My crafty friend Lisa Fulmer and I did a taping for Craft Time TV, a new show 

airing this year, where we demonstrated how to create one of the new Watering Can dies.

The taping crew was so professional and nice I hardly remembered I was nervous. 

Here's where Karen Burniston and I demo'd our new collections. 

It's so exciting to be surrounded by all of this creativity! The Sizzix booth was 

hopping the whole time. Hope you enjoyed a little glimpse at CHA. Will be back next 

time with fun Valentine projects from the new From The Heart collection!
