Paper babe Stamps Release - Jointed Art Dolls Blog Hop

Hi everyone, welcome to the Paperbabe Stamps Art Doll Blog Hop. There’s a magnificent £50 voucher to be won and the whole release is now available to purchase in the Paperbabe Stamps Shop. Kim is introducing the paper brad die and the new patterned paper collection on the Paperbabe Stamps blog today so lots of instruction and wonderful inspiration too.

My third art doll uses one of the 3/4 view head dies and hair styles and I’ve created the clothes using the clothing templates. There are many options to mix and match outfits and I’ve used the gorgeous animal print from the new patterned paper pack. Some of the accessory stamps have been used for the collar and the headband, again so many options.

The blog hop runs until midnight tomorrow (Sunday) and all the team members are linked below, wishing you all the best in the draw!

Paperbabe Stamps Release Jointed Paper Art Doll Craft Dies ~ New Release, Day #2 ~ 3/4 View p

Hi everyone, today’s introduction is detailed at the Paperbabe Stamps blog with fantastic inspiration from Kim and the team.

Tomorrow is the blog hop, I hope you can join us, Kim has a fantastic prize for the winner too

For my make today I’ve used one of the 3/4 pose face stamps and head dies cut out from watercolour paper and a lovely curly hair template.

The clothes using a clothing template are fussy cut from the new patterned paper and the body parts from Kraft card stock.

I used metal brads this time to put the doll together and make her poseable, I like how you get the mannequin effect.

Colouring of the face is with pencil and distress ink, I used black pen all around the hair for depth and also around the body pieces and clothing. I was going for a warmer skin tone hence the Kraft card but I didn’t manage to marry that up with the face colouring, I should have used Kraft card to cut the head as well, so that’s one to try another time.

See you tomorrow for the blog hop!

Paper and Stamps Release - Jointed Paper Art Doll Craft Dies ~ New Release, Day #1 ~ Portrait

Hi everyone, long time no see, I hope everyone is safe and well.

Today Kim is introducing part of her new Paperbabe stamps release, the Portrait face/head stamps and dies. I’ve also used the new paper doll dies, Kim has produced her first sets of dies which have matching templates for the doll parts and for clothing as well so it's a bumper release!

Not only all of that but there are Paperbabe patterned papers in this release as well which I’ve used for the doll-arms, legs and clothes.

I think this portrait face stamp is my new favourite and this pageboy hairstyle too.

Colouring is pencil and highlights on clothes for the stitching is with gel pen.

There’s lots of information and inspiration on the Paperbabe Stamps Blog

Back soon,
Chris x

Paperbabe Stamps - Birthday Card

Hi everyone, it seems a while since I've posted here but I hope you're safe and well. Today the Paperbabe team members have a little blog hop going on starting at Terri's blog where you'll find links to all the team members posts. Why are we holding a blog hop today? Well it's Kim's birthday and we thought we'd celebrate and send her some love! Happy Birthday to my lovely and talented friend, this card is on it's way to you, I hope you have a perfect day.

My card is a little bit of Kim and a little bit of me :)! I water coloured the flowers and used Kim's stencil Iso Fun, Flourish and Grow Stamp Set, Just Because and Butterfly Pieridae stamp sets for the rest of the card.

I added distress oxide through the stencil all around and in between my watercolour flowers, and then I started the outlining with black pen.

the panel is finished off with stamping and ink splats.

I added a pink mounting layer and glued to a blue card base to finish off.

I hope you enjoy the hop and as I mentioned all the team links are on the Terri's blog.
