Princess Tiana - You're Awesome

Today I'd like to introduce you to the latest princess in my Princess themed card collection.  This beautiful princess file is from Marjorie Ann Designs and is titled A Princess and Her Frog.

When I first saw this file I just fell in love with it.  The princess is absolutely gorgeous in her green shimmery gown.  Of course I was out of shimmery paper so I had to create my own shimmer by using my white gel pin to add some accents of white pops.

But oh, up against that background paper I found in my Once Upon a Time stack by DCWV I think she pops even better.  The picture doesn't really do my card much justice but if you could see it in real life you'd be able to see all the shimmer of the lily pads on the background paper.  I mean, really how perfect was it that I found a lily pad print paper for this princess?

And my stamped sentiment?  Well that's from Jaded Blossom's stamp set titled Super Hero 2.

And with that I am off to enter my card into the following challenge:

Friendship - Cut it Up - Ends August 9th

Best Robot

It's the start of a new week, and I thought we'd kick it off with something a little different.  Yes, it's a greeting card, but it's not a Valentine themed card.  Those will come later.  ;)

For today's card I used one of the robots from the I'm Nuts & Bolts About You file by Marjorie Ann Designs.  Since this is a robot and robots are metallic in nature I wanted to create mine so that they looked metallic.  Fortunately I had a couple sheets of a silver metallic paper sitting in my Christmas paper stash.

To add even more texture to the card I chose to run my robot's dress through my Cuttlebug using the Clockworks embossing folder.

The stamped sentiment is from the It's All About You stamp set by Cardz TV Stamps.

And that fun, cheerful print paper I used....Well that's from the mat stack Cosmic Whammy from the Paper Studio.

A Flower A Day...

Well we made it through graduation last week.  Our youngest son was scheduled to graduated last Thursday but the ceremony was cancelled due to inclement weather and the fact that it was an outdoor event.  So Friday night we went back for try number two, and as the students were seated on the field and the first speaker stepped up to the podium the sky bottomed out.  But the ceremony continued and for the next hour and a half we all - students, parents, teachers, families, friends - sat through five different rain showers until everyone had walked the stage.  Now mind you it had not rained ALL day so we never thought to take an umbrella and by the time it was done we were soaking wet....

And so that leads me in to the card that I'd like to share with you today.  As you can see these cute little elephants are standing there while one waters the other.  (That's kinda how I felt Friday - only with a lot more water.)  This cute little card is called If Friends Were Flowers I'd Pick You and is another brilliant creation from Marjorie Ann Designs.

The inside of my card looks like this:

Both of the sentiments on the outside of the card and the inside are from the recently released stamp set from Craftin Desert Diva's titled Garden Cuties.

Bee Happy

Today I have a two-fer that I'd like to share with you.  Marjorie Ann Designs recently released several new shaped cards and I just knew that I had to play with them.  Well I loved this Bee Happy shaped card so much that I had to make not one but two different ones to see which way I liked best.

I will admit that the first time piecing it together was a slight challenge for me, but after that it was easy peasy. Because this card file is in two separate files I thought I'd share with you the sizes I used to create my cards.  For the layers my file is 15.49in x 7.94in.  The card base is 9.7 in x 6.62in.  And this gave my an overall card size of 5 x 5 inches.

On my first card I opted to use skittles from DoubleClick Connections Summer 2015 release for the "eye" of my flowers.  These are banana color.    One the second card I chose to emboss the "eye" of my larger flower.

I even decorated the inside of both cards.

I made a copy of the placard and enlarged them for the inside sentiment.  Then using the print 'n cut feature I made a couple cuts of the bee from the Busy Little Bee file - also from Marjorie Ann Designs.

My stamped sentiments are from the Just Saying and Birds and Bees stamp sets from Cardz TV Stamps.

So Cool

Hello everyone and welcome to our crafty Cardz TV Cards Design Team season finale blog hop.  As we close our current term for summer break we thought it only fitting to have an Anything Goes style blog hop.

For my project I used this cute little Lemonade Bear from Marjorie Ann Designs and because he's carrying a pitcher of lemonade I decided to feature the Just Sayin stamp set, and it's perfect for this card phrase "You're so cool"

I think this stamp set quickly became a favorite of mine as it's the one I seem to grab most often since it's release.

And now that you've seen my project be sure to hop around and check all of the other great cards that were created.  Be sure you start at the beginning because I promise you won't want to miss out on any of the fun and inspiration.  Oh and there'll be some blog candy in there too.

Now on with our line-up:

You've Got a Friend

Thank goodness it's Friday and time for another Cardz TV card challenge!  This week we are celebrating the fact that Spring is right around the corner.  That's right it's almost here - just one more week and it's the first official day of Spring.  So in honor of Spring make a card for any occasion but give it a spring kinda feeling.

For my card I chose to use a background full of colorful flowers.  After all what is more grand than that look of all those beautiful colors while the bees and butterflies congregate?  I also used this adorable baby from the Super Hero Girls file by Marjorie Ann Designs.

My sentiment is from the Cardz TV Stamps set titled Just Saying.

Skittles were my choice of accent for this card and they are from DoubleClick Connections.

Now that you've seen my take on this week's challenge be sure to hop on over to Cardz TV for more inspiration then create your own card, link up and play along with us.

I can't wait to see what you create.

Thinkin' of You

Today I have a card to share with you that I created using the Happy Spring Girls file from Marjorie Ann Designs.  I love how cute these girl are with their big, dark eyes.  One of these days I'll learn how to draw and do those eyelashes so that my eyes can be even cuter.

My stamped sentiment is from the Cardz TV Stamps set titled Just Sayin'.

Quick, easy and terrifically adorable friendship card.

For My Friend

Happy Monday everyone.  I didn't get much crafting done this weekend as we were in Atlanta with our oldest daughter and her fiancΓ© for our Spartan Sprint.  We had a lot of fun even though the course was tougher this year than it was last year.  Lots of new obstacles that gave us a run for our money, but now we're talking about going back in October for the next level race....

But enough about races, how about a quick and easy card today?  Today I have another one I created using the wonderfully fun Poopez files from SVG Cutting files.  For this one I used the Dope-pee file.  I just love the look on his cute little face.

My sentiment is from the Jaded Blossom stamp set titled Best Friends.

I also used some yellow skittles from DoubleClick Connections.

When Things Get Sticky

Happy Thursday everyone!  Today I have a quick and easy card that I'd like to share with you using the Forever Friends file from Marjorie Ann Designs.  I thought this little boy dressed up as Pooh Bear was too cute to resist.  And since he was holding his trusty jar of honey I thought that having a bit of the honeycomb printed paper in my background would be ideal.  Then I realized I still had enough scrap of my baby Pooh print left that I could follow a sketch I had in my idea file and thus my card was born

The sentiment on my card is from the Lollipops Galore stamp set by Jaded Blossom.

For an Awesome Friend

I am pleased to announce that today I am a guest designer over at Die Cuttin Divas.  And today we have a sketch challenge just waiting for you to come join in on.  You'll find a picture of that sketch at the end of this post.

But first I wanted to tell you a bit about my card.  To create this one I started with a card blank from the DCWV Solstice cards and envelopes boxed set.  I then chose this precious baby dressed up like Eeyore to use as the focal point for my card.  This adorable cut is part of the Forever Friends file from Marjorie Ann Designs

Luckily I also had a scrap of this equally as cute baby pooh and friends paper hiding in my stash.  Combine those elements together and you have a great card in play.

To finish off the card I had to have a sentiment, and it had to go inside a circular shape.  Well what better for something like that then one of the candy stamps from Jaded Blossom?  This particular one is from the BFF Candies stamp set.

Finally, I had to have some kind of bling to go in the upper left corner of the card.  This was perfect for using some of the Eggplant colored skittles from DoubleClick Connections.

And now here's that sketch I promised so you can play along too.  Create a card with any theme following this sketch and then link up and play along with us.  As you can see I turned my card over on it's side for my interpretation on the sketch.

Butterfly Kisses

I cannot tell a lie.  I am ecstatic that today is Friday.  It's been a long week and I'm really ready for a weekend of down time.  Of course I'll be more ecstatic when the weather warms up and my down time can include being outside once again.  Until then though I'll just create cards and projects that make me think of warmer days.....like today's butterfly kisses card.

I created this card using yet another of Marjorie Ann Designs creations.  This one is called - you got it - Butterfly Kisses

Originally I wanted to include the butterflies on the front of my card but for whatever reason nothing went the way I wanted it to with this design.  And so I used my butterflies on the inside of the card.  Still turned out pretty cute I think.

Both of my stamped sentiments are from the Lil Bit Buggie stamp set by Craftin Desert Divas.
