Featured Artist Week: Brigid Ashwood by Sylvia

It's time for artist of the week.
And this time it's Brigid Ashwood's art.
I have chosen "Remy".
The art is only availble as a rubber stamp
witch you can buy at

I think "Remy" went to Jamaica!
"Ya Man!"
I had so much fun coloring him.
All the little details, like this cute little bear in his bag
and the tattoos. Just gorgeous!
I have colored with my distresspads and markers.
And ofcourse I had to add some sparkles on Remy.
Sorry Remy, but after all, you're a Fairy!

The background paper I have made of a piece of
aquarelpaper and distresspads and water.
After it was dry, I embossed it.

To give it a something masculine, I added a
wooden button with a raffia rope through it.
On the left side of the image I added a die from Memorybox
( I think ).
Check out the other projects from our lovely
DT members.

Cards for the Kids

Today I have a few cards to share. The first is Samantha Rawlings Lil' Angel, an adorable image that is just dreamy. It was colored with copics and the papers are MME Love Me Do.

These two cards are from the  Brigid Ashwood collection, plate #74. Both were colored with copics. The details in these images is awesome - Zam has a pocket full of coins flying about which was the inspiration for the embellishments. He reminds me someone you would have to keep a really close eye on and not make a bet with.

Remy, on the other hand, seems pretty sweet still - he even has a teddy bear still. He would be the one that would have all kinds of treasures, in his pockets, that he has found during his daily adventures. I thought it would be a good card for a first night away from home or even starting school.

I hope you have enjoyed your visit today - have a great week!

Remy....

I am proud to introduce you to Remy from Brigid Ashwood's Phunky Phairie Series Plate #74!!!  I think he is the quintessential young boy!!!!  Don't you just love his dreads and see the hacky sack by his feet.  He does have a soft side, with the Sweet teddy bear in his bag. He is available as a single stamp or on a sheet with 3 others.

I colored him with copics and then added just a touch of glitter on the teddy bears wings, the bubbles and a spec on his wings.  Even on a boy I had to add some sparkle, after all he is a fairy!!! To finish my project off I  added a duo of buttons and a ticket with the sentiment "DREAM" on it!!! He was a pleasure to work with and I am thrilled to add this magnificent stamp and artist to the Sweet Pea family!

Don't forget to visit "In A Sweet Pea Dream" and try your hand at the challenges!
