World Wide Christmas Drop

We're still working behind the scenes - patterns, maybe a zine and an exhibition and some exciting ideas for co-ordinated drops, but in the mean time, the end of the year is coming upon us super fast!

We know you have all loved doing the Christmas drops in the past, so, while we get all the other bits sorted, we would like you to join the World Wide Christmas Drop once again.

Details for how to post you drop will be available soon - but we thought you might want to start making.

Have a look at the tags for the past Christmas Drops on the blog - here's a link to the 2011 Christmas Drops and you can find the rest by clicking on the tags in the tag menu.

We're thinking of making a bunch of christmas tree softies to hang in a few local trees - is anyone interested in a pattern? They are an easy beginner project.

Don't forget to check back soon for details of how to do your Christmas Drop.

We're Back

Yes! We’re back!

Sorry we’ve been absent for a while but recently over here at TSTS headquarters, we’ve been busy discussing all the positive changes we would like to implement.

Firstly, we are cleaning our email list up. If you would like to stay on the mailing list, please click here to visit our sign up form and add your details. Even if you are already on the mailing list you will need to do this as we are starting from scratch with a new system and we want to start clean.

We would also like to invite you to share your feedback on what you would like to see from The (secret) Toy Society in the future. Head on over to our Facebook page and let us know your thoughts!

Or if you would like to be an active TSTS leader and be involved in posting, and the daily running of all things toy society related, please drop us a line at thesecrettoysociety@gmail.com.

To keep The (secret) Toy Society going and get it running smoothly, we need to upgrade some of our systems. In order to do this, we have been discussing crowd sourcing options. We would really love to hear your opinion on this, and what type rewards you would like to see to motivate you? Would it be something you would like to invest in?

Would you like us to bring back our co-ordinated drops in time for a (secret) Toy Society Christmas?

We are really looking forward to hearing your thoughts, and keeping the project going. We’ll keep you updated as things change!

Don't forget to share your thoughts on Facebook and re-subscribe to our mailing list!

DROP #1944

Dropped: Fremont Public Library, Mundelein, IL, USA
Number of toys: One
Made by: Annie
Dropped by: Annie
When: February 3, 2014
Comments: My 2nd drop!  I guess this little guy is a brown bear.  I made sure to dress him appropriately for our Illinois weather with a warm scarf!  The library was so busy due to the cold weather that I ended up dropping him off in a quiet corner of the adult section.
