Azalea

Happy Friday everyone! Bus week - I am ready for the weekend! We are kicking off a new challenge over in the Art by Mi Ran Facebook Group.  You may remember that our Anything Goes challenges now also have an optional theme.  This month our challenge is 'Anything goes/Option of Anything but a Square'.  I LOVE this one!  If you've seen cards on my blog before, you probably know I am a fan of shaped cards. And ever since I got my Spellbinder Grand Calibur for Mother's Day, I've had fun with it.  For our challenge this month, I made a circle card, and I am using the gorgeous image Azalea.  She was so much fun to color.  I knew I wanted bright colors, and here's how she turned out:

The Copics I used are: skin - E000, E00, E11, E21, E93 & R11; hair - BV20, BV23, BV25 & BV29; dress - BG000, BG01, BG05, BG09, W000, W1 & W3; flowers - Y15, Y17; RV23, RV25, RV29 & BG05.  The image is printed on x-press paper.

Here is a closer picture of the image:

For my card I used Bazzill cardstock, paper by Sherri Baldy, sticker by Webster's pages, Wild Orchid flowers, pom-pom trim and dies by Tim Holtz and Spellbinders.  As I said, I just love using my Grand Calibur to make shaped cards.  I highly recommend getting one!  Christmas isn't very far away...just sayin'!

What is your favorite shaped card?  Why not make one, and enter it into our challenge? We would love for you to join our Art by Mi Ran Facebook Group if you're not already a member.  And if you already are, we thank you!  The DT has some beautiful projects to wow and inspire you.  I do hope you will join our fun challenge.  You might be one of our lucky winners!   Have a great weekend everyone!

Two-Scoop Tammy

Good morning everyone!  It's time to kick off a brand new Anything Goes Challenge over on the Arty By Mi Ran Challenge Blog.  I'm joining the amazing DT over there, and would love to share this card I made using Two-Scoop Tammy.  Isn't she sweet?

The Copics I used are: hair - E35, YR23, Y21 & Y32; clothes - G000, BG11, BG13, BG19, RV000, RV23, RV25, E40 & E43; ice cream - E11, E13, E15, Y17, Y21, Y32, RV000, RV02 & RV04.

For the card I used Bazzill cardstock, paper by Fancy Pants Designs (Summer Sun), and dies by LaLa Land Crafts & Spellbinders.  I so wanted to add more to the card - if you've been to my blog you know I love flowers - but anything else was too distracting.  I think in this case, 'less is more'.  I'd love to know your thoughts!  Please hop on over to the Art by Miran Challenge Blog to check out the amazing work by the DT members, and to join the challenge.  You don't have to use an image from Art by MiRan, but there are extra incentives if you do.  Check out the Art by MiRan Etsy Shop to check out her amazing digis!  Thanks for stopping by!

I would like to enter this into the following challenges:
Penny's Paper Crafty - Anything Goes
Crafting From the Heart - Anything Goes
Inspiration Destination - Anything Goes
TTCRD - Anything Goes

Scrapbook Stamp Society - Handmade Flowers

Good morning all!  We are kicking off a brand new challenge over on the Scrapbook Stamp Society blog, and our theme is 'Anything Goes + Option Handmade Flowers'.  FUN challenge!!!  I'm pretty new to the 'handmade flowers' thing, so for this card I made the only handmade flowers I know how to make!  I know, not much of a challenge...but for the reminder post next week, I'm going to try something new!  I'd love to see what handmade flowers are your favorite!  For my card I used this sweet image which you can find here.  I'd love to know what you think!

The Copics I used are: skin - E000, E00, E4, E21 & R20; hair - E08, E19, YR14 & YR18; shirt - BG000, BG01, BG05, YG09 & R22; pants - YR23, Y21 & Y32; shows - W0, W3, W5 & W7.

For the card I used Bazzill cardstock, paper by Webster's Pages, dies by Spellbinder & LaLa Land Crafts, and Martha Stewart punch.  The sticker sentiment is by 3 Bugs in a Rug, and reads 'life is either a darling adventure or nothing'.  I love this quote by Helen Keller.

I made the flowers by punching different sized circles in different paper and used scalloped scissors to cut a spiral to the center,  I then rolled (starting from the outside) toward the center, and secured the center bottom with a dab of glue.  Next time I will take pics of the various stages. Super easy, and I like the look:)

Thanks for taking a look, and please be sure to head over to the Scrapbook Stamp Society blog to check out the other amazing DT work and to share your own.  Have a great week!
