Jar of Sunshine and Happiness

Hi friends!  I hope you're having a great day.  We have NOT had a good day.  I was at the doctor's office a lot today.  I'm trying to get some things under control with the pregnancy.  Then on the way home from my second trip to the doctor on the same day, our car broke down.  Hopefully, it's nothing serious.  

Onto happy things, I haven't participated in Unity's Friends With Flair in a really long time so I figured I should go ahead and enter this week.  I used Unity/Simple Stories Jar of Sunshine to make this card.  This jar is HUGE so I figured I should make a card base of out it.  I coated the jar in Liquid Glass after I stamped the sentiment so it would be glossy like glass.  Then I added the sunflower and the Divine Twine after it was dry.  I'm also entering this in Moxie Fab World's Jars of Joy Challenge.

August CARDS Magazine Pubs

Hi friends!  I hope you are doing well.  We tried going up to a cabin in the mountains this weekend and failed miserably.  We came home early and I have a cold.  I'm hoping that this is over ASAP because I've been sick WAY too much this pregnancy.

Today, I'm sharing the two cards I had published in the August issue of CARDS Magazine.  I won't go into any details about the cards, if you'd like to know about them, please check out the issue.  :)

You are BRAVER Than You Believe

Hi friends!  I hope you're having a great day!  I'm doing ok.  We still have a residual cough from our cold but other than that, everyone seems ok.  B went back to school today and he really seemed to enjoy it.  I think he missed his friends.  

Here's another card I made for Paper Craft Gallery Idol.  I love this sentiment from Unity Stamp Co.  Seriously, who doesn't need to be told that they are brave?  I tried to think of a way I wanted to use it.  I still might do this in a more grown up card but right now, this just felt right.  Cute little lion, huh?  I cut it from some Kaisercraft paper that's the same as the other paper on this card.  Then I finished with Lemon Divine Twine.

I Know You Can!

Hi friends!  I hope you're having a great day!  The kids are still sick with a cold.  Brady has been out of school all week.  I'm getting rather restless here at home but at the same time, I'm so tired I just don't feel like leaving.  Hopefully, we'll be all better this weekend and then Brady will go back to school next week.

Here's a card I made for the Paper Crafts Mag Gallery Idol contest.  I was inspired by the children's book, The Little Engine That Could.  I'm also posting this for Unity's Fabulous Friday Friends.  I used a stamp from Unity/Echo Park Boys Will be Boys.  The paper is from My Mind's Eye.  I printed out the sentiment on my computer using the chalkduster font because I thought this would be a great card for a kid.  The clouds are cut with an MFT die.

Choose Happy

Hi friends!  I hope you are having a great day!  We had a GREAT day!  Brady's school put on a Mother's Day spa event and it was so nice!  There was two songs, a manicure station, a massage station, a bracelet making station, and a cookie decorating station.  Our kids did all the things for us and it was so sweet!  I got a card, a corsage, and a little present too!  It was AMAZING!

Here's a card I made for a couple challenges.  First is Unity Friends With Flair and second is the Unity Color Challenge for April/May.  I used Unity Love Survives Everything for the stamp.  I used washi tape from Target and Love My Tapes.  I don't remember what the paper is...  Opps!

Butterfly in the Sky

Hi friends!  I hope you all are having a beautiful day!  We had a pretty nice day even though I wasn't feeling well.  We had lunch, walked for a little bit, ran a couple errands, and ended the day firing up the BBQ for the first time this year.  There's a lovely breeze and everyone's in a good mood. 

Here's a card I made while I was chatting with my friend Savannah the other day.  Something VERY bizarre happened that day.  I had mojo and she didn't.  This is the FIRST time in all the years I've known Sav that this has ever happened.  Poor dear!  Moral the story, it happens to the VERY best and most creative crafters so be kind to yourself.  Onto my card.  I used a Unity butterfly image from {...moment by moment} and the sentiment is from My Thoughts Exactly More Mini Thoughts.  The paper is Crate Paper Paper Heart and I used the Cards Mag sketch for this.
