Scribbled Lives 2020 Wk 35 - Alphabet - Destiny - and another month has gone by. Sheesh these months are just turbo flying by.
We were asked to design an alphabet and then write some words using it. It's a simple alphabet, but I will probably use it.

Fun & Funky Letters with Julie Wildman - Day 2
Fun & Funky Letters with Julie Wildman - Day 2. I'm thoroughly enjoying this workshop.
I created another alphabet this time based on a circle.
Created an exemplar of various "A's" which I can now use to create the rest of the letters for each alphabet style (but that will be in the distant future...). The "Y" was a playful thing. I had seen a similar letter and was intrigues so did mine with flower doodles adding gold gel pen dots to their centers.

The "Yogi" done with Bleed Proof white ink in an ultra fine tip applicator bottle and colored with various colored pencils. This is supposedly a technique we'll be learning in day 3...

Fun & Funky with Julie Wildman - Day 1
Fun & Funky with Julie Wildman day 1. So far so good...
1st day was introductory and using a basic shape
to create a fun alphabet. I was doodling while listening and this is what I
created. I'm using a basic rectangle shape and all the letters fit within that
shape (well almost... but I know my error points so will correct when using them). I've incorporated a couple variations, one with thick/thin strokes and
one with diamond accents.
Using a
6.0 parallel pen and Sumi ink on Genoa bond paper and a
1" letter height. A few of the letters started
getting a bit oversize... but I wasn't doing the
exemplar all over again. I know my mistakes so will
correct when using them...
The quotes below were done on 110# Staples white cardstock. Parallel pens and Sumi ink. Scanned and then printed out and colored or added gel pen details.
