Scribbled Lives wk 32 - I LOVE LETTERS
Not happy with the image colors...
Size: 8\'w x 4.5"h
On St Armand watercolor paper using a Rosemary & Co #08 Triangle Brush double dipping into Gansai Tambi Granulating w/c (Aurora Pink and Orange). Adding graphite shadowing with a Caran d'Ache B pencil and paper stump. Then a small highlight with a Unibal white gel pen.

Triangle Brush Leaves - Spring Has Sprung

I was at our Guild's play day this past Saturday and created a bunch of things... this was the 2nd piece - I felt like playing with one of my triangle brushes - the smallest one.
size: 4.5"w x 6"h
On Canson Mixed Media paper created the leaves and flowers, added graphite shadow. Text written with a med blue Juice Up pen in a basic monoline.

I was playing with one of my Rosemary & Co triangle brushes (#6) and recent purchase of w/c paints (bought for Lorraine Douglas class) (bkgrd: DS New Gamboge & WN Perm Alizarin Crimson; leaves: DS Perm Green, Winsor Blue grn shade) on Fabriano mixed media paper.
Used a pointed pen and Sumi ink for the text which was going thru my mind...

Two Irises - Iris (and more)

I took an online class yesterday held by BVCG for Irises taught by Pat Blair, so taught I'd finish this one of...

On Canson Pen & Ink paper using various brands of w/c and a Rosemary & co medium triangle brush. That blue one has part of the leaf from the red one that snuck between the petals... Added some graphite shading with an HB Caran d'Ache pencil and paper stump.

Triangle Brush - Must Have Flowers

At my recent BVCG Play Day I created this floral design, then add the quote. I bought 3 of these triangle brushes - but for the life of me I can't find the middle size which was my favorite...

On Canson Mixed Media paper created the floral design,then found a quote I like and added that using a black Zig Calligraphy pen - smaller nib in an unknown font style I found online.

Scribbled Lives 2023 - Wk 36 - Brush - Every Artist

Somethings wrong with my website - sigh. I can't seem to access it... I hope it's just a weather or simple glitch that will right itself soon...

Another week of Scribbled Lives this time the challenge is using a Brush... so I pulled out a couple of my Rosemary & Co triangle brushes. 

Size: 6"w x 7"h
On Fabriano 1264 Mixed Media paper.

Sprinkled yellow and red Bister powder over paper and using a med size Rosemary & Co triangle brush dipped into water created the flowers. Dried. Removed excess powder and sprinkled with yellow and green for the leaves.

Used calligraphy brush pens (2 med sizes) to stipple the flower centers  and write the text.
