Scribbled Lives - Wk 25 - Madness - Imperfection is Beauty

Size: 7" sq
On Canson Mixed Media paper using my favorite blue w/c (Holbien Peacock Blue) painted the rectangular shapes, inked the words with a Zebra nib and W/N white Calligraphy Ink. For the larger words (Beauty, Genius) I used a Unibal gold gel pen and then painted the rectangular box.

I LOVE graffiti style lettering... Haven't used these KOI watercolor markers in a while, so thought I'd play with them...
 

I really like the way this word turned out. Love the vibrancy. It's fun which is what a vacation should be... Again using something I haven't used in a very long time... Dr Martin's Tech inks, and using one of my Dreaming Dog ruling pens "Sofie". Grafite pencil and paper stump and white gel detals.

BVCG Dec Lettering Challenge Day 7 & 8

 

I love the "Grinch" - it looks all grouchy... I did one a few days ago - misting with water, but I used the regular Ranger mister. This time I used the mini mister which I prefer. I so rarely use my Tombows, going rather for my watercolor palette.

Also love the "Hope" piece. I did a similar piece in a class from Thomas Hoyer in 2008 using a ruling pen and Ecoline inks.
