Another of my friends from our Wednesday get togethers had this pretty card with the 3D quilt blocks. I thought I'd made one before - a long long time ago, but can't find it on my website... C'est la Vie. So I decided to make one now. BIG GRIN I'm extremely happy with the results. And a good way to use scraps...

I'm using a die "Warm Thoughts" 2 pce set from Elizabeth Craft Designs, also available on Quietfire Design HERE

MC Mar/11 - Lace Flowers HB My Friend

I'm on a roll with these lace flowers. I love the look of them and they're so fluffy, yet lay nice and flat for mailing.

I'm using a beautiful variegated ribbon, hand made buttons, paper backed silk fabric and a bunch of other stuff. I'm also using a Quietfire Design sentiment.

MC Mar/11 - Lace Flowers - Leave Room

The material on this card is to die for. It's a $30.00 a meter Dupioni silk in a golden color that has a green tint to it. It's got natural threads running through it giving it a beautiful nubby texture. Luckily it was on special and I only bought a 1/2 meter, so was very reasonable and I have lots left over. BIG GRIN.

I was in a lace buying mood today. While in the fabric store I bought a whole pile of lace, some Duipure type, some eyelet type, several Organdy types and a few others... I was even in a sewing mood too. The lace flowers were sewn with a basting stitch then gathered to create the rosettes and the flowers sewn to the card. Sheesh.

They're also a new technique type flower for me as is the fabric adhered with Heat 'n Bond. You'll be seeing lots more of this stuff in the near future.

I'm using a Quietfire Design rubber stamp - love that stamp.
