Wow, lots of interconnected and well balanced mechanics. I was a little confused trying to eat beets/corn, but realized (I think) that farming is mostly a source of gold and you can only eat cooked fish. The quest system is nice and a really natural way to lead you through the mechanics, I feel like that should be more front and center at least when you start up.

A couple minor UI issues I had were the "crafting table" buttons at the top would keep getting scrolled off screen. The skill buttons on the left also take you to those areas (mostly), so maybe finding a way to consolidate both of those into the left to keep the crafting interactions using the full column? Just an idea. Also the page reacted _okay_ to changing zoom. It would be nice for it to go wider and if you zoom in, the buttons on the inventory items kinda got squished.

All and all, pretty fun! I plan to play some more idly and interactively. I do notice some of the skills will stop after a bit, haven't figured that out yet. I'd like to just park on fishing for 30 minutes and come back, but dunno if I can.

Played a bit more and while still fun, it takes a LONG time before you can remove some of the tedious crafting tasks. I'm around level 220 but can't get the camp until 350. So cooking, crafting, and a few other tasks still can't be automated. It'd be nice if the camp auto-craft stuff came a bit sooner, maybe one skill at a time? Or at least be able to automate recipes that are far below your level?

Chicken doesn't level? Feeding it does nothing, can't start fighting with it (by itself) if it can't be levelled to start with
Unless this got patched since commenting, it has changed upon unlocking the second pet (200+ levels later)

It can sometimes beat the level 1 swamp enemy.  Just keep retrying.

Lowest I had was level 3, in swamp which I don't understand, and again feeding it had no effect. I remain convinced it was broken, and I now have a lvl 60 pet (as well as 'finding' a lvl 1 enemy - also thought at the time, that it was feeding which would've given pet xp, based on what I was seeing)

It wasn't until unlocking Sterling that feed began to work for example, don't even believe I could change the Pet's fight area before that but unsure

I don't know how it's intended to work, but the last area you view for a non-pet fight is what shows up in the list for the pet fight.  So if you fight something in the swamp, then you can pick from the swamp enemies for the pet fight afterwards.

Really fun game! Only issue is that cooking is buggy. Sometimes it doesn't stop the meter from filling up when you let go, so it's impossible to not burn food. Usually only happens occasionally but last time it happened like 5 times in a row.

you ever think about adding an action queue? maybe something to unlock from higher levels of Royal Service Favor. It can be really tedious to make 100 planks at 25 per batch and it would be cool to automate it a little more with a queue.

PLEASE a way to cancel actions, just accidentally wasted 30 ingots because i forgot to put my batch to 1

putting food in the food slot seems to basically never work when i try, is this a bug or is there something i'm doing wrong?

same thing goes with eating food, the button seems to just not work

I havent gotten any other reports and I just tested and it seems to be working for me. Are you clicking the cooked fish to equip? Also, you cant eat when health is 100%

also follow-up question, how do you get: silver necklace, gold ring, nylon coil (and the following coils) and dragon bones

Silver Necklace from Sand Beast or Grave Ghoul
Gold Ring from Peak Giant
Nylon Coil from Magma Goblin
Dragon Bones from Pyre Drake or Frost Drake

TIP: If you hover over the image of what you are fighting, it shows its loot table

v 1.6.33, Tomes: duration bug  (> 20k seconds) example:

  •  https://imgur.com/6ubNUZv (same goes for all the other tomes in inventory, Expert included)
  • removing the equiped tome destroyed it, and all the durations went back to normal in the tooltips
  • re-equiping 1 or multiple tomes of any kind didn't replicate the bug

I like how you've managed Farming - especially the shrooms, very helpful to progress. I've started to feed my pets and train them, my cat is 25 but I'm unsure of his impact in combats. Could you please explain?

Yep you just have to equip the ring first, then you can enchant it.
Yes in combat your pet hits at the same time as you do. The damage animation that is green is the pets damage

been loving this, it's got that 2007 RuneScape feel but a little lower maintenace and easier to enjoy while I am working. Good game also have appreciated the daily updates and look for new changes daily.

Been playing this off and on for the past few days to pass some time. I started the game with 1.9 billion coins and i assumed the money mechanic just wasn't fleshed out yet and no one else seems to be talking about it so was it intended or not? Btw love what you got cooking up here.

Captain Oblivious here, was going to ask where the discord link was, but noticed it's right above the text input I am typing in.  Discord sure has lot of info on the game, glad I looked into it.  I am enjoying the game very much, I want to know if the cape is live in game or coming don't tell me how to get it, just don't want to go looking for something that does not exist.

Last week, reloading the page emptied my inventory (10 days of grind). Then I tried to load my last save and the inventory was still empty *shrug*. 


PS: it seems I'm not the first unlucky one, but since I don't use Discord I'd prefer we manage this here!

I hadn't played since the bug happened - I reimported the save today before replaying then I tried to refresh again: same bug. 

I'm gonna restart from scratch. A 1 day test, then I'll export the save, reload the page, export the new save - if the bug reiters I'll share both with you. Sounds good?

Really? I don't remember that I gave your game a try so early, if coins are also passively earned, this may explain the 500k+. I'd be glad you give my name to an NPC, to a pet would be great! 

Anyway, I restarted from scratch yesterday and reloaded the game/closed its tab a few minutes ago: no bug, no problem, nothing has been lost.

Don't bother fixing my old save (and as I previously told you, I don't use Discord at all, this is why I'm using sharetext.io to share my saves) I was still early in game and restarting wasn't much a burden.

Great game! I just beat the Vine Horror after getting all rare Draconyx gear. I'll check back in a while to see what else has been added!

I beat the Vine Horror at level 1.. Took like 20 minutes but it seems enemies cannot hit me??

Went from combat lv 1 to lv 16 all round when I did that. It seems you've fixed it, now I get one-shot.

I dont know if its intentional or not, but my inventory gets wiped everytime the webpage gets refreshed.  I accidentally refreshed and wiped almost 50 spells and a few mp potions i had accumulated ๐Ÿ˜ญ

Im not worried about recovering it bud. Its very easy to gain it back. I just wanted you to be aware of the issue

did you happen to play the game when I first released? If so i had a bunch of test items that if still in your inventory on your save will cause this. Deleting those from the state file fixes it

I dont seem to be able to enchant rings, i have the ring and enough MP but it doesnt show anything else i need?

is it the Alchemy level that unlocks batch 2? Batch has to be lv2 to unlock said table? How do you get alchemy to batch 2? I have lv 45 in Alchemy? I think I am missing something obvious, but I can't figure out what unlocks batch 2?

okay I had all the required items to unlock it, but the button to build the table was still greyed out, I have refreshed the game many times, but somehow, unsure what I did went back to camp and I was able to click it. LOL NO clue might have been operator error.. not sure though..odd

I had to refresh between the lv of the table. pretty much completed all the content now :)  I was thinking maybe you had to have it at batch 2 in order to advance the table..*banging head on table*

How do i level my pet up, i only seem to be able to use it to fight a level 5 and he gets squished very quickly

start with the bog mite. He will lose some but gets stronger pretty quick. There are some more pets to unlock as well that are stronger

how do i upgrade  my character ive killed so many monsters yet i havent leveled anything up to wear better armor or use better weapons

Monster drops. Mites drop wire coils and Frost Drakes drop them in bulk

does the spider just stop dropping silk wires after a while? or is my luck just horrible

Hey Kornelf thanks for playing! To be fair Im a software engineer but not a game developer. I started making this when I was bored with covid like 5 weeks ago. Hearing its overrated is maybe flattering? I didnt expect anyone to play it and I was just trying to make something that was the play style I liked. The code isnt AI but I did use AI to generate the monster images. If theres something you think is missing or could be improved Id love to hear it. Everyone in the Discord is helping shape the direction of the game. The pets are actually all based off of players lol.

I'm glad the code is not AI, I belive you. I guess I'm just too paranoid these days. I thought it was AI because I've seen the similar type of UI in some AI slop projects.

I'm a hobbist game dev, and I've made some games (much less popular), and I'd love to know some techical datails. This was made in some JavaScript framework, right? Which one? I also use JavaScript for my games. Is it open source (on github or somewhere else), I'd love to look at the source code :)

I actually am doing raw Javascript here and I would NOT recommend it haha. This just started because I wanted to try building one functionality and then got carried away. My code is a mess because its been a playground for me to practice coding methodologies that I havent tried before haha. Honestly I cant believe it even works

I cant find the inventory section, I crafted a copper axe and copper helmet but I can't find them. Is it because I'm on phone so the screen is to small or something? Where is it usually?

A way to see possible drops from monsters would be nice. Also I haven't found anything that can be done with gold? maybe I haven't unlocked this yet, though

Im getting this a lot. In our Discord we have a drop compendium. Hovering over monsters in combat shows the drops if you've gotten them before. I think Ill add it to the info panel though.
Gold......yeah it has some uses. Im trying to figure that out now. If you've got suggestions id love to hear them. Im trying to make this community driven

Maybe buying items? or an xp boost to skills (eg some skills, like alchemy, destruction, enchanting are really hard to level up since the requirements are hard to get).

I like the concept but I find some bug 
when you have something running in the back ( whatever it is , if it's update some item quantity it make it ) if you launch a battle the text of the battle is wiped at any new items created ( a refresh maybe ? ) 

The cooking area is quite bugged , some time I click just before the zone and cook it  like 10% before the start ), and some time I click in the zone but the end of it ( like 10% before the end ) and burn it

when you unlock a new drop from monster it took some time before you could see the new drop in the hover 

the sapphire Ring is sorted bottom but the ruby is sorted top list.

The title of the enchanted sapphire ring should contains the effect.

Some suggestion

  • a way to easily permit to know how to drop what ( if already dropped this way ) like by hovering it in the inventory or his name in a recipes
  • currently you could only use mana potion in battle , so when craft enchant I had to go to a battle , use it , close it , got to craft ( just a use button in inventory)
  • a clear way to explain how to get pet ( I don't understand it ) 
  • make the construct category more clearly related to the camp part ( the same pop up when you don't had it and a redirect when you had unlock it ) and so why keep the camp buttons in top ?
  • I find more accurate to call info => wiki

Cooking area- When did you notice this? I pushed some updates yesterday that corrected a lot of bugs there but still maybe something is broken.

All potions can be used in inventory with shiftclick. Ill add that to the custom tooltip so its more clear

Loading from a save saved all of my skills but didn't save any of the items in my inventory. Pretty brutal to lose everything I've gathered if I decide to close the tab or restart my PC.

That shouldn't happen. I can help you fix it. Try refreshing or importing the save into another browser

I had same issue - I've fixed it by manually modifying save file. In save file in field inventory I had array of objects and now it's object. Maybe some issue from changes between versions?

To manually fix:

- export save(remember to backup file in case you break something), 

- find "inventory": [ some text here until next ],

- replace fragment with "inventory": {},

- import save

and it should work from now on

How do i get Starstone? can't seem to find it anywhere.

Hey SolracSepol thanks for playing. Starstone is a rare drop while mining. Higher tier rocks have a higher chance to drop it. Our Discord is a great place to ask questions but feel free to reach out anytime

i found a bug today,  unsure how i caused it, but it appears you can move xp drops from one skill to another somehow. i tried to reproduce it and have had alot of issues so im assuming its some super tight timing thing?

but i was able to chop a draconyx ore for 200 forestry xp.

side note: i really like the look of draconyx gear and enjoy the idea with its crafting method

Lol cool bug. Just tested and I also got "Chopped Draconyx Vein โ†’ +1 Draconyx Ore ยท +200 Forestry xp" Although it didnt actually award forestry xp. Glad you like the new armor! Im trying to keep things interesting. I also just released Destruction if you havent seen that yet

i played thru to basically the end of current content.
i have a few observations:

  •  crafting seems to be kind of a pointless skill? aside from the first 10 levels, you really cant leverage it to do anything useful anymore for either enabling other skills or giving you bonuses for other advancing other skills more efficiently? its probably because gold rings arent crafted but are loot, and have such minor effects by the time you can actually get them
  • pets are unlocked way too late for what they are. your basically required to have so much combat ability to unlock them that because they represent another active combat system without new drops that you basically start off making them feel pointless? rather than 475 total skill they could probably work better as 10 royal points, or if they need to be total skill based for w/e reason knocking it down to 150-200 ish is probably enough to stop them from feeling bad out of the gate
  • the campfire is super awful and i feel like id have never made it if i could have known in advance that itd slow down my cooking speed so much by making it so that you nolonger cook in instant batches anymore? it feels really strange for it to take away such a powerful tool without really acknowledging that itd do that. its kind of neat to get a tool for idling, but this game wants to be played actively so the campfire feels at odds with the nature of the game itself

Hey nfaith thank you for playing. Ill address your concerns

  • Crafting's intention is to be helpful to many other skills. Vials for alchemy, planks for construction, rings for combat, and tomes for enchantment. I felt when I created it the rings gave sufficient bonuses but also I didnt want to overpower them because Im going to add the ability to give a second enchantment. Ill revisit this though.
  • So this is a pretty new feature that isnt fully integrated so I get your feedback here. Theyr'e going to be able to fight alongside you which will be more helpful in bossing and for the higher tier monsters coming up.
  • To be completely honest this was a mistake and i'll fix it today. Im bouncing around between the idea of autocook being toggle-able or readding the batch cook or both.

You can't interrupt gathering with another different gathering, nor can you interrupt crafting with another crafting, but you can interrupt gathering with crafting and vice versa. It's in fact the only way to stop crafting if you select "Craft All" which is a pain in the ass if you wanted to craft anything between 2 and less-than-everything. There are other UX hics like that throughout the whole game.

The game obviously is heavily inspired by Runescape, but I just don't see the appeal of the game outside of "Number-Go-Up"ing. There's no direction outside of "unlock camp by having 325 skills" and honestly after unlocking it, I have no desire to actually flesh it out. Maybe there's content there that's different, that provides a sense of curiosity and engagement for a player, but it mostly appears to just be checklisting. As it stands, it's clear that this isn't a game for me.

Hey MurderMoose, I'm sorry you didn't like the game but I do appreciate that you took the time to play it. Im releasing another skill and then im jumping directly into those UX hics that you mentioned. Its still early and its my first game so it may be a bit clumsy. Im adding a lot more features and content that will start tying more things together and give more depth to the game. Bosses, spell crafting, more automations, pets, etc. If you have thoughts on how this game could be more fun for you my ears are open. Found a bug.
Refresh page and lose all Royal Favours. 
Point on the leveling ok. Just the favours go back to zero.
Also, when ever you enchant anything, it really slows things down.

Fixed the favor resetting. What do you mean about the enchanting? The purpose is that it does something for you in the background. So maybe its mining and gathering resources while youre fighting

Haha I noticed that typo last night. I just now pushed an update fixing that, adding more content, and introducing a new skill. I really appreciate the comment. This is my first game so i'm learning things as I go.  Would you mind leaving a rating? The Nylon coil is (now) dropped by the magma goblin and the silk coil is dropped by the swamp spider.

Thanks for the reply and I know it is only in the begining phaze but, when I went to play again, all my progress was gone. Could a manuel import/export save file be implemented. I was really making good head way.

Oh wow that's not good. I think I can help you trouble shoot this. It should persist your data unless you cleared it from your browser. Are you using the same browser as when you played it before? Or if you're using a browser profile are you logged into the same profile?

Yes I'll be fixing that as well. Currently the gold has no use so I've been focusing on all the other features but I'll get on it. Although the gold isnt showing up on your screen, you do have it. So when I push the update it will show up with all of your gold. Thanks for playing!
