I loved this solo rpg! It's really nice how accessible and easy it is, as you can dive right into playing! As someone who's newer to games such as these it's great!

I made a storyline about a privileged elf who took up being a Wandering Librarian to give back to her community, and her library is in the shell of a giant snail who also loves books ;)

It was great fun and I'd recommend this to anyone who loves books, solo rpgs, and whimsical magic! <3

Aw thank you so much and I absolutely love the sound of the story you made with it! I'm so glad you enjoyed it so much!

This was really fun! I liked the freedom for the player to write whatever kind of story they wanted (I ended up doing a horror playthrough), and I thought the prompts were all really solid!

Aw thank you so much! So glad you enjoyed it and had such freedom to tell the story you wanted!

Wow, I discovered about solo journaling rpg today and this was my first game.

I still didn't finish playing it, because it's 2AM in my country and I was going to sleep, but I wanted to make a comment before.

I loved this game so much, it's so cozy and simple, the kind of game I was searching for! This type of ttrpg is amazing, specially because I don't have a lot friends to play with me when I want to play and becauss I don't know why but I don't feel so comfortable playing ttrpg in groups.

Fun fact: I'm studying to be a librarian, so the game captivated me since the moment I saw it in a youtube video.

Aw that's amazing, thank you so much for your comment and I'm so glad you enjoyed it so much! Good luck with your studies!

^-^ thanks!

Hi 👋☺️
I just purchased this lovely game (yeah, haven't played it yet, but I know it's lovely), I didn't know such thing as journaling RPG existed, I'm thrilled!
I'm a former translator looking to go back in the field, so I'd love to contribute and translate the game to French. Would you be OK if I added it to my portfolio? (I'd credit you, of course!)

Hello! Aw thank you! And yes that is absolutely fine. Let me know a link if you post it on itch or somewhere else and I can add it to the list to direct people to it. :) Thank you so much!

Teehee, working on it, very happily ^^ Love the theme, and love going back to my linguistic riddles! French is a latin language, so very bi-gendered, and making the language neutral is a veeery touchy subject! I'll try to it seamlessly, invisibly neutral, so it'll probably take a few days!

Ooh, good luck with it! And I hope you enjoy playing the game (eventually xD) too! There are so many wonderful solo journaling RPGs out there so I hope it helps you to go and discover more. :)

I'm combining this game with my 30 day exercise challenge because a librarian still has to lift heavy books, squat to tidy up lower shelves and explore the area. In the back of my notebook, I'm compiling a list of made up book titles and authors for added details. Already, this game is blooming into a whole rose garden of ideas! Thank you for making this available for us! 💝

Aw that's amazing! So glad you're having such fun with it!

Thank you! I came across this on Pinterest. I brought it to a family vacation, and we used this as a writing challenge. With three generations we rolled our dice each day and then each wrote a short story in our preferred genre and style. We even made crossovers, in which our characters and Libraries met each other. While I didn't tip you when downloading, I just made up for it, after we all had so much fun with it!

Aw that sounds amazing! Thank you so much and I'm so glad you all had lots of fun with it! I love the idea of the libraries and characters meeting across stories. Thanks again!

One of my first, and still my favorite. I enjoy making the libraries (yes, I have a many) and exploring the little worlds I make when playing. Helps me come up with little cozy stories.

Aw thank you, I'm so glad you're enjoying it so much! I love that you have made many libraries and cozy stories!

Out of respect for you and the game - that and I haven't been giving permission, I haven't posted anything online. That is fun anyway, to keep it a secret!

Well you are more than welcome to post things online if you want to! I would ask that if you do, to include a small credit so folks know where to find the game, but otherwise feel free to share what you create from it as you wish! It's not necessary to, but if you do please share it here too so I can see as I'd love to see how and what people create from this little game. :)

I would always credit and link when I can, though I am unsure of where I would post online though. Thank you for the permission.

I have figured it out!

Hi!

It's a simple game with tables that go perfectly along my other journaling games. Leaves enough room to add your own flavour to it.

Thanks! Hope you have lots of fun with it!

Hello there! I truly love this small little solo journaling TRPG you created, and I have translated it into Italian. I wanted to reach you to ask a few questions, along with your permission to share the Italian version of "The Wandering Library" (absolutely free of course) with link to your page and of course proper attribution. What is a good email or contact to chat with you?
Thanks so much! :)

Camilla

P.S. Please see my Itch page to see other translations I have done, including "Last Tea Shop" with the author's permission.

Hi Camilla! Thank you so much for your message and I'm so glad you loved the game. You're more than welcome to post the Italian version and you can contact me by email at ap.cartography.art@gmail.com for any questions! :) Thanks again, AP.

Thank you so much for your kind reply! I will be in touch soon. :)

Does this game support Wigfish education & conservation...

It does now with the Wigfish Hovercraft Book lending service.

Help a Wigfish today :)

Love it! We must educate the masses about the wonders of the Wigfish and how to protect them.

Very nice little game. For some reason I immediately went for a Ghibli-like world. Thanks for the fun!

Thank you! That sounds wonderful. Howl's Moving Castle was definitely a source of inspiration for this. So glad you're having fun with it!
