I've given Quicksilver the slip. Being quick wasn't enough, using the crowd to your advantage helps.

V4 - Two points I'm stuck on, this is number 2.

(By using a save point from V3 I've bypassed the bit I'm stuck on in my previous post).

2. At Andromecon, Rooter continually gets caught by our Quicksilver friend before he can do anything with the elevator or vent.

I've tried defibbing the guy, but that doesn't seem to work and I can't get Rooter to do anything with the conveniently Rooter-sized vent.

V4 - Two points I'm currently stuck on, will create two separate posts.

1. On Tatoorakis searching the desert. The ever helpful cheat cube from V3 is now gone. Does this mean we can now find those items the 'proper' way?

I've been combing the desert and using Rooter's app, but I've not been able to find them and trigger the next part.

V3 - Cube:

V4 - No Cube:

Have you tried setting a course and launching anyway ignoring the open engine panel, rear door and the damage lights?

I'm pretty sure I was at the same point then picked the next destination and launched.

If you hover over the SpaceVenture.exe icon (or right-click, properties, details tab) it shows the version number of the .exe.

I managed to grab a screenshot of the three items you can't pick up. The middle one appears to swap between the back layer and the same layer as Ace.

I did it in the icon order from top to bottom:  Chips position first, then circuit tester, then repairer nanobot. Haven't tried doing them in another order yet.

Not OP, but I was able to complete the chip repair, there was a slight delay when leaving the microchip scene (heart in mouth moment), then it returned to the desk and I was able to reinsert the chip into Rooter and he sprung to life and jumped off the desk.

(Spoilers ahead!)

V3 of the Beta, (microchip scene done, ship built and fuelled) in the Two Guys' dome computer room, Ace is trapped after the Chuck Yegger game (which I skipped after night 1). I'm in control of Rooter but don't seem to be able to do anything to get Ace out. Narrator mentions getting the Two Guys for help, but they're gone when you return to the upper dome area.

Thanks, got it. It was a foamy solution rather than tapey one.

Walk forwards past all the toilets, something will pop up. Use Rooter's head as a plunger and try to catch it.

In the escape pod, square filter in round hole, need to fix the leak. You'd think maybe with duct tape, but no amount of clicking, dragging or swearing at it will get it to work. Have I missed something?

I've found that you don't need to zoom into the bolt head to actually solve the puzzle. You can randomly keep trying different sockets until you find one that works.

Same, I've tried various screen resolutions and DPI settings on the Windows side and different resolutions on the game side and in both windowed and full screen modes to see if there's a 'default' where it displays correctly, but have been unable to affect any change to the small view.

I can fit a socket to rooter and use the mouse wheel to have his head selected whilst in the closeup view but haven't been able to work out where exactly to click to get Ace to try the socket or say it's the wrong one so I'm stuck in the lift shaft for the moment.
