Create the protagonist of your story:

While you’ll be able to decide how fond you are of everyone in your life, there are two people you’ll meet whose connection to you will go deeper than all the rest: Qiu and Tamarack. Each one the same age as you and both living right next door.
Qiu “Autumn” Lin:
A true Golden Grove local, born and raised. Qiu is the kid to know in that town. The most popular, the most charming, until it all becomes too much. There’s a point where a coldness comes over Qiu and they shut out all except a few people. However, the rain doesn’t fall forever, and sadness can heal with real support. The day comes when Qiu is able to shine again, even brighter than before.
In Autumn you will find a thoughtful individual who just needs some time to embrace the person they’ve always known they were. Qiu was assigned male at birth, but comes out as genderfluid (they/he) partway through the story.
Tamarack Baumann:
A fellow newcomer, Tamarack moved in only about a week before you did. She’s a darling joy to those who get to have her company. And like the forests she loves so much, Tamarack is always changing in big and small ways. That isn’t always for the better. She’s surrounded by wrong branches, leading her down paths that only cause hurt. Yet despite all the pricks and snags on her path, the heart always remains the same.
With Tamarack you’ll see a kind miss who has a lot to learn about herself, but will never stop trying to find her way. Tamarack is a woman who only ever uses she/her pronouns.

Build your life with them:
Set your unique "dynamic meters" that broadly describe how you behave towards one of the leads, keeping them consistent or switching that around as you grow up. Qiu's and Tamarack's dynamic towards you will develop in a custom way over the years based on who you are and what happens.
A romance with Qiu or Tamarack can develop as love at first sight, a longtime platonic closeness turning into last-minute confessions, a slow and gradual growth of affection that started at nothing, or anything in between.

Wonder what is causing it to happen?
So, I'm assuming the rain animation must have cause issues. I played Assistance in my laptop and the scene dropped some fps while it was raining. Sometimes it has missing game asset (i.e. rain droplets became brown boxes) during Qiu's scene, but it fixed when I redid a save file. Then again, this is just coming from my unprofessional observation :,D

Thank you so much! I got a little carried away on the second hairstyle and had to re-render the bangs because they were clashing with the rest of the hair.
Fun fact: I don't know how to do curly hair on digital; this was the first time I managed to get it even remotely decent 🫠.

I saw people making these and decided to try one myself. There's a few mistakes in the text, but I couldn't fix them so yeah.

I had a thought that, what would Our Life series looked like if it was made by another game studio? So I tried making the game cover art of it although i was too lazy to colour it lol. The Our Life otome version i made was just a normal standard otome game lol. I also realised that this is my first time ever drawing Serenity and Vianca here so that is new? There is also some of the game description for each of the route in this otome version that I added down below so please read it if you're interested in this Our Life otome version!

Qiu Lin Route (Normal Difficulty)
A troubled youth that is popular and excelled at sport. Currently having an identity crisis with their gender. Help them navigate through their gender crisis and win their heart!
Tamarack Baumann Route (Normal Difficulty)
A transfer student from German that is trying to fit in. She is still new and is in need of a lot of help! Help her made friends and fit in while capturing her heart!
Renee Murray Route (Hard Difficulty)
A male to female transgender that is ostracised by her peers. Help her get accepted by the people around her and win her trust and love! Be careful as making the wrong step might made her never appear again!
Baxter Alexander Ward Route (Super Hard Difficulty)
A rich upperclassman that is about to graduate. He was also in a sports club and used to be friends with Qiu until an accident happened between the both of them. Help him fix his friendship and win his love before it's too late! Be careful with your timing that you didn't take too long before he graduates and left for college!
Also meet other supporting characters like Serenity, Vianca and many more!

Timothy and Qiu are best friends in post-Step 1 onwards! They're each others support buddies since Qiu is the 'first' person to see Timothy at his lowest and vice versa. So, they're messy and sad best friends who need to let their wall down to other people once in a while hehe

I LOVE the game so far just like all your other games. Though one problem.... As I reached any part that had rain, my game would lag and the music was glitching out. You can turn off animations in the settings, which doesn't make it perfect, but it helps!
