Kilobyte Kaos: A Study in Algorithmic Decay

Kilobyte Kaos is not merely a visualiser. It is a computational interrogation of stability. Built upon a custom micro-tonal scale that refuses to resolve - oscillating between a dark G3 base and unstable, clashing overtones. This piece invites the user to witness the mathematical friction between sight and sound.

The generative architecture relies on recursive trigonometric functions to birth geometry from the cold, empty void. As the timeline progresses, the shapes do not just move; they decay, leaving behind the ghost-images of their previous coordinates, challenging the viewer’s perception of the "present."

This is a canvas of infinite recursion. There is no win state. There is only the loop. The loop is forever. The loop is GOD!!!!!!!!!

OPERATING PARAMETERS (Instructions)

The machine requires human agency to function. You are the conductor of this entropy.

The Time-Dilation Slider (Top Left):

• Controls the g variable - the gravitational scale of the geometry. Slide right to expand the radius of the chaos; slide left to contract it into a singularity.

The Persistence Toggle (Button '0' / '1'):

• 0 (False): The canvas retains the memory of past frames, creating infinite trails and textural density.
• 1 (True): The canvas clears every frame, isolating the geometry in the immediate 'now'.

The Sonic primitives (Bottom Row):

       Select a generator to manifest form and frequency. Click a shape again to silence the oscillator.

• ■ (Square): Engages the Square wave. harsh, digital, binary.
• ▲ (Triangle): Engages the Triangle wave. Soft, filtered, resonant.
• ● (Circle): Engages the Sine wave. The fundamental frequency. Pure and devoid of harmonics.
• ★ (Star): Engages the Sawtooth wave. Aggressive, bright, jagged.
• ❄ (Snowflake): Generates fractal crystallization accompanied by a Sine Wave. Aural purity meets geometric symmetry.
• ☃ (Snowman): Generates stacked circular forms accompanied by a Triangle Wave. A hollow, flutey sound for a hollow, constructed effigy.
